Chapter 13

Rose couldn't believe what she was hearing. Harry was choosing her over his dead wife's twin. Rose didn't know what to do, she loves Harry but she did catch him kissing this person. In a way she can understand, if this Rachel woman is his wife's twin, he could have been just caught up in the moment. Remembering better times, but where does that leave them now? Will it happen again if Rachel stays around to spend time with Stephanie? Opening the door, Rose decides to put her heart on the line and take a chance, she steps back out onto the porch, walks up beside Harry and takes his hand into hers.

As soon as Harry feels Rose hand in his he sighs in relief, reaching across his body with his opposite hand Harry pulls Rose in front of him, raising his arm, never letting her hand go and wraps both arms around her waist, pulling her back flush against his front. Leaning down Harry kisses Rose's neck.
"I'm so sorry, I really do love you." He whispers.

Turning her head so she can look Harry in the eyes, Rose nods. "I love you too, Harry. But we will be talking about this." Rose whispers.

Harry was just about to say something about that when Rachel's voice interrupted them. "You know as cute as this is, Harry, I'm sure your mom would hate to see you dating someone so much younger than you. This child can get you in so much trouble."

Rose then looks at the woman in front of her, Rachel does to and when she sees Rose's eyes for the first time her own widen and she takes a step back shocked at what she's looking at. Rachel has never seen eyes that color before, they are amazingly beautiful, especially framed by her long black eyelashes.
"Rachel, I'm not telling you this again." Harry says more calmly now that he has Rose in his arms. "Leave us alone, and stop insulting Rose, she's older than she looks."

"I get it now." Rachel whispers. "She has bewitched you, Harry that girl is a witch, anyone with eyes like that has to be. She's put some type of spell on you." Rachel says. "You need to get away from her now before it's to late, come back home with me."

At hearing that Rose turns and buries her head in Harry's chest and starts laughing, she couldn't help it, but that was the dumbest thing she's ever heard in her life. "Oh God, I'm sorry." Rose says as she wipes the tears off her cheeks. "If that isn't the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life I don't know what is. They are eyes, just like anyone elses, mine just happened to be purple, so sue me." Rose chuckles, throwing her hands in the air. "I can't cast spells on people, the only special powers I have are the ones I have with the animals I work with." She laughs. "Which reminds me. Harry the Louisville zoo wants us to come and work on one of their older tigers tomorrow. They are afraid to put him asleep due to his age, so they want me to keep him calm while you give him his yearly check up."

Harry smiles. "Okay, I'll clear my schedule and tell Marty what my change of plans are. Hell he will love this, if we get more calls like this our business will make a lot more money just like he was hoping it would." Harry says. Looking up he sees Rachel on her phone. "What the hell are you doing now?" He asks her.

"Calling your mom, I know she won't like any of this once I tell her what's going on here." Rachel says.

Harry and Rose just smiles, what Rachel didn't know was Anne, Harry's mom already knew about Rose, has talked to on the phone on several occasions when she has called to talk to Harry and Stephanie. Anne and Gemma was planning on visiting soon so they could meet the woman that made Harry fall in love again and loves Steph unconditionally.
What Harry and Rose didn't know was Anne and Gemma was already on their way their, they had found out about Rachel's plans and was hoping to warn them in person. Anne was just turning into Rose's driveway when her phone rings. Gemma looks down and shows it to her mom.
"Looks like we're to late. Rachel is already here." Gemma says.

"Well don't answer it." Anne grins. "We'll just surprise them and show them we stand behind Rose as we should sence she's Harry's choice."

Harry and Rose look past Rachel and see another strange car coming up the drive, with a frown Harry asks. "Who is that?"

Rose shakes her head. "I have no clue." She sighs as she leans back against Harry.

Harry tightens his arms around her holding Rose closer as they wait to see who was in the car. When the two beautiful ladies exit the car, now parked next to Rachel, Rose's eyes widen, she has seen pictures of Harry's mom and sister so she knew who was now standing in her yard.

"Mom, Gem? What the hell are you doing here?" Harry gasps out as he walks down the steps, dragging Rose with him. Hugging his mom then his sister Harry introduces them to Rose. "Mom, Gem, I want you to meet my Rose. Rose this is my mom, Anne, and my sister Gemma. I know you've talked to them on the phone but I was raised to be polite." Harry grins.

Rachel stood there shocked at what she was hearing and seeing. She didn't like it at all either, she thought his family would be on her side.

"Rose, it's so good to finally meet you." Anne says pulling the small girl to her so she could give her a hug. Gemma does the same thing knowing right away she's going to love this girl.

"So, mom? You going to answer my question?" Harry asks.

"Well." Anne says crossing her arms across her chest as she leans against her car. "Rena called me. She's Rachel's mom dear." Anne says patting Rose's arm. "She told me what Rachel was planning, she thinks she's taking her obsession with you to far, so Gem and I thought this would be a good time to come and visit and warn you about her." Anne says pointing at Rachel. "But it looks like she beat us here."

"And almost accomplished what she set out to do." Rose says, looking at Harry.

Harry sighs and pulls Rose to him. "I said I was sorry about all that babe."

"Harry what did you do?" Gemma asks.

Rachel finally steps up and speaks. "He kissed me." She smirkes. "That child caught us and cast her little spell over him again." Rachel bitches.

"No, Rachel you kissed me. I was just stupid enough to think about Rhonda at that time and kiss you back, it had nothing to do with you." Harry snaps. "Rose's arrival was the remainder I needed, she's the one I love now." He adds.

Rachel opens her mouth but Rose holds her hand up. "Hold on, if you call me a child one more time I'll show you exactly how big I can be, now not that it's really any of your business I'll be 22 in a few weeks. And sence this is my property and I want you off it I'll ask nicely for you to leave. If you don't I'll just have to call Louis, the sherriff here to kindly remove your ass." Rose snaps, then turns and turns for the door.
