Rose sat and watched Harry closely, over the past few years she has learned to read people a lot better, she didn't have much of a choice. She was on her own with a small child to care for. Rose was just about to speak again when Andy spoke up first.
Andy jumps from Harry's arms surprising the tall adult, he then runs to his mom. "Why are you mad at my mom?" Andy asks. "What did she do?"
Steph looks at her brother in awe while Rose puts her arm around his shoulders. "Shh, honey, it's fine." Rose whispers.
"Mom, he was going to yell at you. I could feel it." Andy says. "We just got home why would he do that?"
"Andy look at me." Rose says, seeing how shocked Harry was at what their son just said. "Your dad has every right to be upset, I kept you away rom him for 5 years."
"But, mom, he hurt you." Andy yells. "You don't think I know, but I do. I know you tried not to let it show but when you cried in your sleep every night I figured it out." He says throwing his arms around her neck. "He has no right to be mad at you if he was the one that made us leave, it was his fault, mom, he had the other girlfriend." Andy sobs. "He didn't want me."
Harry and Steph's eyes widen at hearing that. "You told him that?" Harry snaps out at the same time Steph turns and looks at her dad and says. "It was your fault Momma ran away?"
"Stop, please just stop." Rose cries as she sits down and leans against Kiki, rubbing her temples trying to relieve the headache she was getting again. "Now first off, no, I didn't tell Andy about anything that happened between us. I would never do that." Rose says as she wipes away her tears. "When he got old enough, and I saw he looks just like you, I would show him pictures of you, I only told him the good things, how we met, the fun things we did as a family before he was born, things we did while working together." Rose snaps out. "I'm not a monster, Harry, I wouldn't tell our child how you cheated on me. He figured that out on his own." Rose says forgetting Steph was standing beside her. "Our son has abilities even I don't have." Rose tells them. "Not only can Andy do what I do, but it's almost like he can feel what the animal feels, but it doesn't stop there, as you have seen, he seems to be able to read people to."
"It was your fault?" Steph suddenly yells, startling everyone. "You lied to me Daddy, Momma leaving was all your fault." She cries as she backs away from everyone. "Is that why you kept sending Bubby and I to Gammy's when he was a baby? You didn't want us? You were cheating on Momma instead of trying to get her to take us back like you told me?" Steph yells at Harry.
"Stephanie Ann." Harry snaps at his yelling daughter. She was saying things he never wanted Rose to know about, now it was to late. "You will not talk to me like that."
"Fine." Steph yells back. "I just won't talk to you ever again." She says. "You distroyed our family daddy, I just wish Momma took me with her." Steph cries, then turns and runs off. "I hate you." She yells just as she disappeared around the stables.
Harry was so shocked at hearing his daughter saying she hated him he almost miss the worried cries from his son call out for him mom.
"Mommy." Andy cries when Rose collapses.
Harry spins and looks at Rose to see her lying in a heap in the doorway of Waikiki's enclosure, knowing he's going to need help Harry pulls his phone out of his back pocket. "Mom? I need help. Steph has run off and Rose is finally home but she's fainted. Bring Lou so we can search for my daughter and Gem so we can find out what's wrong with my Rose." He says, then hangs up. Harry then walks over and picks Rose up. "Andy you think you can lock that cage back up for me please?" Harry asks his son.
"Yes sir." Andy says politely, does as he's asked, then follows his dad into the house and watches him as he lays his mom on the sofa. "Mom's been having headaches lately, that's one of the reasons she wanted to come home. That and I'll be starting school soon." Andy tells Harry. "She thinks there's something wrong so she was hoping you were still here so if she was sick you could take care of me when she was gone." He says with tears now rolling down his cheeks.
"What? She told you that." Harry asks his son not believing Rose would worry their son like that.
Andy frowns. "No. Mom wouldn't do that, she always tries to hide when she's in pain and hurting. That's why the whole time we were traveling she never cried until after I went to bed. Mom didn't want me to know how unhappy she was." Andy says causing Harry's heart to skip a beat at the pain he's caused this wonderful woman. "I just know what she feels and thinks."
Harry was about to ask Andy more but his mom, Gemma and Louis run in. "Oh my God." Anne cries. "Andy, you look just like your daddy." Just then Rose moans causing everyone to remember why they are there.
"Anne, you and Gem stay with Rose, check her out, make sure she's okay." Louis says. "Harry you come with me, we'll look for Steph."
Andy turns and looks at the guy talking. "Sissy is in the old barn, in the loft, but she won't talk to him." He says pointing to Harry. "I can go with you, she'll talk to me." He adds, walks toward the back door.
Anne turns and looks at Gemma but she just shrugs, they then hear Rose's voice say. "That boy has a very special gift, even better than mine." She whispers. "It's almost like he can read animal and human thoughts once he looks them in the eye."
"Oh Rose." Anne says as she drops to knees and hugs her. "We have missed you and Andy so much. I don't blame you for leaving, I would have too, I just wish you would have come home sooner."
"I didn't want to stand in the way of Harry being in a relationship with anyone else." Rose says. "I didn't want our son to be a burden to him."
She adds just as Harry walks in to hear ever word.
