Chapter 10

Harry has been at the hospital for 3 days with Rose, he calls Stephanie every day letting her know how things are going, and to tell her good night. At this point Harry didn't know if he needed to go home and see his daughter or stay just in case Rose wakes up. He doesn't want her to be alone when that happens.
Harry lays his head down on the bed beside Rose's hand and closes his eyes, he'll decide later, after a nap, on what to do. He was to tired to drive home right now anyway, he thought as he started to drift off to sleep. Harry then feels someone's fingers tugging on his hair, thinking he's just feeling things he reaches up to rub the spot and comes in contact with Rose's hand, jerking into a sitting position Harry looks at her face.
"Rose?" He whispers. "God babe, please be awake." Harry says as he leans closer.

Rose hears Harry's passionate plea, at first she doesn't understand why he's begging her to wake up, then she feels the pain. She then wishes she could go back to sleep. With a moan Rose opens her eyes to see the blood shot eyes of Harry's looking back at her.
"Where am I?" Rose asks.

With a lump in his throat, Harry swollows. "Louisville hospital, you've been here for 3 days." He tells her not even bothering to wipe the tears falling down his cheeks.

Rose frowns, then she remembers holding Highroller when a guy jerks him from her. "Oh, what happened to the other guy and Highroller?" Rose asks.

"Bart fired the guy and he left town." Harry says. "Rose, Bart had to kill Highroller, he was trying to kill you he had no choice." He tells her.

"I always knew that horse was dangerous." Rose says. "I'm just glad he never hurt a child. Have you been here the whole time?" She asks Harry with a frown.

"Of course I have, Rose I wasn't going to let you go through something like this alone, wake up alone with no one here with you." Harry says.

"How did you get them to let you in here? Don't you have to be family?" Rose asks.

Harry just looks at her and picks her hand up. "I told them I was your boyfriend and a doctor, that tipped the scales." Harry says.

"Well, in a way you didn't lie about the doctor part." Rose smiles.

"What about the boyfriend part?" Harry whispers looking her in the eyes.

Harry almost laughs at Rose's startled look. "What?" She yelps out. "You want me to be your girlfriend?" Rose asks Harry.

Harry shakes his head. "No. I just stayed here with you worried sick because I want us to remain just friends." Harry says sarcastically. "Rose, I love you, yes I want you to be my girlfriend."

Rose closes her eyes to keep from crying, she really couldn't believe this gorgeous guy was asking her this.

"Rose? Babe, you okay?" Harry asks her.

"No, give me a sec, my brain is telling me I need to pass out. I'm telling it to shut the fuck up." She says causing Harry to laugh.

"Well can you tell it to make up its mind on what it wants to do so I can have my answer. I'd like to kiss you eventually." Harry chuckles.

Rose's eyes pop open. "Yes." She snaps out quickly with a smile.

"Thank God." Harry mutters as he leans down and kisses Rose for the first time.

When Harry pulls away Rose looks him in the eyes. "I love you too." She finally says. Harry leans down and gives her another quick kiss.

"Thank you." Harry says.

"For what?" Rose asks.

"Making me happy again, love me and my daughter. Being you." Harry states.

"You're welcome. And thank you, for loving me and coming into my life, and giving me Steph to love." Rose says.

Harry looks at the clock on the wall. "I have a call I need to make, it's Steph's bed time. You want to surprise her by telling good night?" Harry asks Rose. Rose just nods as he dials Beth's number.
Harry put his phone on speaker and set on Rose's chest so they could both talk and hear what's being said.
"Hi daddy, is Rose awake yet?" Steph says when she answers the phone.

Harry nods at Rose. "Yes, baby girl, I'm awake. And I miss you." Rose says.

"I miss you too, Rose. When you and daddy coming home?" Steph asks.

Rose waves at Harry while she wipes her tears. "We aren't sure yet Steph, we have to make sure Rose is okay before I bring her home, she just woke a little while ago."

"Daddy can I come see her please?" Stephanie asks.

"I don't see why not. Let me talk to Aunt Beth, baby." Harry says, after talking to Beth for about 10 minutes and her agreeing to bring Stephanie the next day to see Rose, then both Harry and Rose telling the child goodnight Harry hung up the phone. Harry puts his phone down on the table beside Rose's bed and sees her blinking back tears. "Rose what's wrong?"

"I just love her so much." Rose sniff.

"God, Rose. I'm so glad you do, you know how hard this would be if you didn't." Harry says with his own tears now in his eyes.

"She's so smart, like you. She'll be able to do anything she wants to when she's older." Rose smiles. "Wouldn't it be great if she does what you are and you two have a practice together. Daddy, daughter clinic." Rose smiles.

Harry smiles. "Rose Glover are you planning our future already?" He teases.

Rose giggles. "Harry Styles if I was doing that I would have said daddy, daughter, and son clinic." Rose teases back.

Harry leans forward and mumbles against her lips. "Well, I love the sound of that better anyway." He then kisses her until they hear someone clear their throat behind him. Harry sits up as the doctor walks in.

"Well, Miss Glover it's good to see your eyes finally open. How you feeling now that your boyfriend here has breathed new life back into you?" He asks with a grin.

"I feel okay, a small head ache but I guess that to be expected concidering the kick I got." Rose says.

"No seeing double?" The doctor asks.

"Nope." Rose says.

"Well tomorrow we'll get you up, see if there's any dizziness, have you walk around a few times, if you do okay with that I'll let you go home Friday. Only if you have someone with you." He tells her.

"My aunt and daughter can stay with her during the day." Harry says. "I'll be there during the night." He states like they already live together.

"Good, we'll see how you do tomorrow and go from there. Now get some sleep. Night." The doctor says as he walks out the door.

Rose patted the bed beside her and smiles. Harry grins and crawls in beside her, wrapping his arms around her waist he hugs her close to him then kisses her. They both whisper night and drift off to sleep together.
