"Sometimes being a hero just means being helpful."

The freckled boy was wandering in circles, you were sure of it now. There was no way he was just passing by the window of your dad's flower shop twice every five minutes on accident, right? Was he looking for someone or something? You wondered what it was that caused him to hang out on your block that particular afternoon.
For the eighteenth time, you saw him coming up the sidewalk, before it looked like he saw someone and he turned sharply into your family store. Your giggle pierced the air of the nearly silent retail space. He looked up from beneath his curly forest green hair that looked like a ton of fun to run your fingers through.

"Hiding from someone?" The boy nodded, hair bouncing.

"Yeah.  A childhood friend.  He was threatening to beat me up all day, and I guess he wasn't joking." He smiled despite the words spilling from his mouth. Shouldn't he be concerned?
"Well I don't mind giving you refuge, if you don't mind my work?" Spread across your workspace were dozens of flowers, each prettier than the one before. There were cuts on your hands from the thrones ones, but behind you on a shelf were completed bouquets, each eloquently arranged. It was then that Izuku looked around, noticing which kind of shop he had ducked into.
"Oh, I won't bother you. Kacchan is probably looking around the sidewalk outside, so I'll stay for a while, likely. I'm Midoriya, by the way." You slightly nodded to let him know you were listening to him as you continued to fill orders.

"[y/n]. I'm a florist in training here, or at least I have been since birth." Izuku wandered around, looking at what the shop had to offer, and he couldn't help but notice a distinct style to certain arrangements, three different styles actually. He couldn't help but assume that one was yours, one a parent's, but he couldn't discern who the last belonged to.

"That's pretty." He was muttering beneath his breath, but you had heard. You looked up to learn the reason for his awe, and saw that he was looking at something your mother had made.
"Oh, that's one of the few that mom puts together. She's rarely in town, and when she is, she sells big." Midoriya made a noise of confirmation, but made no move to press for further details like most people you knew would have. You grinned.

You looked down at what you were doing and cursed. You had forgotten to grab your scissors from the end of the work table and you couldn't move the bouquet that you were holding until the ribbon was tied. Izuku heard and glanced in your direction.

"Did you need help?" You looked up. He was offering?

"Yeah. Could you get me the green scissors down there?" You gestured with your head, both hands occupied with your work." The boy grabbed the line handles and opened the blades when they were near the ribbon that you were holding in place.

"Where do I cut?" He moved the scissors up and down the exposed ribbon in your hand and you told him when he was in the correct position. He closed the blades with a familiar snap that never really got old and you finished your project with a flourishing bow. Midoriya smiled infectiously as you placed the floral in a fridge behind the counter, on display for whomever it was meant for.

"Thanks a ton, Midoriya. You're my hero." The boy rubbed the back of his head. The blush on his face slightly obscured his adorable freckles.

"No biggie. It's kind of what I do."
