Painful Truth

*Daniel's POV*

We've been walking for about 30 minutes now. Time sure seems to go by when someone u love is missing........

Almost all of us had our phone's flashlight on.
We all kept yelling through the forest things like, "Melody?!?!" or "Mel, where r u?!?!?!".

"How do u know that Melody's in the woods?🤔", Mariah asked Riky.
"My brother has a great sense of smell. He also goes camping a lot so he knows a little something about tracking.", Yaya responds to Mariah's question.

"Wait! I think I saw something light up 🔥🔥🔥in the distance?", Brandon said pointing to our right.👉🏾
And he was right. There, about a few minutes from where we stood, was a little light shining off in the distance.

Shari grabbed Mariah's wheelchair & we all started running towards the light.

*Melody's POV*

A fire was lit right before me.

Then & there, twigs snapped.
I look upwards & see a group of people coming out from behind the trees.
I took a step back, frightened. They don't look normal. Something is very off.
They had a different type of clothing. They looked like savages but, they had such calm faces.

Suddenly I heard footsteps coming from behind me in the distance.
Their faces became more clearly.....it was everyone.

Daniel was about to hug me but Riky hold him back.
"What's the deal, man?!", Daniel says struggling from Riky's grip.
"Shhh.....", Riky said looking towards the group of people right infront of me.

"Melody. Who are these people?", Daniel asked.
I shrugged my shoulders & looked towards them.
One came forward.

He looked a bit different from the rest. He had a sort of headband.
"Greetings. My name is Errol.", he said.
"Errol......", Riky growled in anger.
"Who are these people, Riky? Do u know them?", I asked.
"Mel, let's go, now.", Riky demanded.

"Riky! Why don't u answer the question, huh? Or would u, Yaya, like to answer it?", he says grinning at both of them.
"Wait, what is going on u guys? Tell me!", I demanded.
"Mel......😔😔😔", Yaya says.
"You know what? Let me then.", Errol says. I face him.

"I knew your parents, Melody Rosa- Vargas Martinez."
"Errol, stop this, now!", Yaya demanded.
"W-What?", I asked.

"You're parents were......wolves."
Wolves? T-That's crazy talk.....how can this man say that?.........

"You're lying......", I clenched my jaw.

"No, I'm not.....it all started when your mother first married a human & had your brother & sister. Even though they were half wolf they could still change on the full moon.", Errol stated.
"The human betrayed her & so they divorced. Your father then came along, he was a wolf hunter. Sent to hunt down wolves. Instead of killing your mother the first night they met, he fell in love. He was only half wolf too. Then.....u were born. Your mother left the pack to live a normal life. Later on, ur brother & sister moved away. But....Your uncle, Clamel, your mother's brother, became obsessed with dark magic & power. He created a clan of darkness called, "Potens", which is powerful in Latin. He betrayed our clan, "Anima", which means soul in Latin. Your mother, was a descendant of Anahita, a powerful wolf/moon goddess that all wolves worship, & all the women before your mother in her side of the family. A necklace was passed down to every women in that family. A necklace so powerful, that it can bring eternal darkness to the world but.....also bring light.
Clamel decided to go after your mother & urge her to join his clan so that he can get the necklace that contained the power & soul of Anahita. She rejected him & he didn't take it so well. He tried to ruin her human life & kill your father many times.
One night, he actually succeeded by transforming himself into a wolf & making your father, well....take a U turn. He thought your mother had the necklace on her, but, apparently she didn't. He swore to find the necklace & take its power so he can rule the world. But, it was said that the true wolf descendant of, Anahita, was to defeat the darkness & shine light into the world. You are that descendant. You are the savior. Only Anahita & her descendant can shine blue eyes. Only Anahita & her descendant can bring fear into other wolves souls when their true strength shows. Those signs, will be proof that you are Anahita's true descendant & soul.", Errol says.
