Your hero

You walk home, head down, tears streaming down your cheeks as you think about the days events. It had been a horrible first day of school. You messed up your name when introducing yourself, tripped once while heading to your desk, and again at lunch, sending your food flying. The mocking laughter and rude words of your new peers still echoed in your head. "Stupid!" "clumsy idiot" "Jack and Jill fell down the hill with Y/N tumbling after!". It was awful. You already knew you were in huge trouble once you got home.

"The limo must've waited ten minutes for me... Reiji is going to scold my skin off!" You say to yourself. Speak of the devil... You could hear a vehicle close behind you. It pulled up next to you and the window rolled down.

" Miss L/N, Care to explain why you left school 30 minutes early and are walking on the side of the road? It's extremely rude to-"

"I know!" You screamed, interrupting Reiji. His red eyes widened and grew even angrier than before. "I'm walking home." You say softer, walking faster.

"Fine. Expect a thorough scolding when you get there." The window rolled up and the limo sped up. You stop for a second.

"No." You say, crossing the street and heading down the road. You weren't going home so you could be yelled at and whipped. "I just wanted to be alone." You say as you wander off the road. "If you want me, come find me."

Le time skip~

It was freezing out, but you refused to go home. So you sit there, leaned up against a tree, arms wrapped around your bent knees. A feeling of hopelessness had set in, you were lost, alone, and felt half frozen. Tears had froze to your cheeks and almost all feeling had left your body. Your vision grew blurry as a shape came into view, growing larger as it moved towards you. A small smile formed as you realized it was Shuu, trekking through the snow. His eyes glazed over with worry, tears threatening to fall down his rosey red cheeks. He removed his scarf and wrapped it around you, then picked you up bridal style and buried his face in your chest, listening for a heartbeat.

"Thank God..." He whispered, breathing in your scent, and starting back for where he came.

"S-Shuu?" You whispered, lifting your head as much as you could.

"Yes?" His voice was unusually stern.

"I wanna go home." You croak before blacking out.
