“Drop the crayons, okay? I know you like them, but it’s high school not preschool!” Cody said in the midst of our back to school shopping.

“He’s right you know... Go find the looseleaf & highlighters- that is what you need for freshman year.” Chloe stated mater-of-factly.

“Oh hush up! It’s just crayons and we’re all going into 9th grade so how would you know exactly what I need, Chloe?” I replied childishly, but with a playful smile.

“That’s our Ellie, always a kid inside. You’ll never grow up, will ya?” Cody smirked happily.

We finished with our school supply shopping and then went to get new outfits- with Cody’s fashion expertise, we’d all look amazing tomorrow at school. Cody, of course, got a new navy blue button up shirt, black leather jacket, white hightop pastry shoes, and some grey mosely tribe sunglasses. Chloe got a flower print high waisted skirt, a long heart necklace, as well as a peach colored tank top and matching heels. When it was my turn to get an outfit, I found a semi-cute dress on the rack, as I reached for it a hand grabbed mine and stopped me.

“Jack?! I thought you already started school in Atlanta! Why are you out here in LA and how did you know where I’d be?! Oh my god... I just... can NOT believe you’re here!” I exclaimed and got the attention of all the other shoppers around me.

Jack didn’t speak, he just pulled out a long, rectangular, white box with an aqua bow on top and handed it to me. As I opened it Jack finally spoke-

“Chloe texted me where to find you, it was all her idea. I don’t have school for another week and I thought I’d come visit you one last time. Do you like the present?”

It was a lacy, gray top with a cross-strap in the back, a straight, tight, dark blue skirt, and a dove necklace. He had gotten me a first day of school outfit!

“There’s something else, too.” Jack said. I pulled out a shirt that read 'I ❤ My Boyfriend' and I looked up at him and he kissed me right in the middle of the store.
