Chapter Six

That was it- Jack was gone. For better or for worse, he was out of my life. He was my first kiss, my first boy friend, maybe even my first love. But enough about a boy who I’ll never see again, I had some major homework to tackle. I got my laptop and quickly checked my facebook and twitter (each equally full of people talking about school). I opened up a new Word Document, got my textbooks and binders and went to work. While I was doing the math worksheet we’d gotten I received a text from Chloe.

“From Chloe: Hey how was ur first day? you seemed rlly quiet...” 

I continued to work while I texted Chloe back. 

“Me: it was fine. its just diff from our old school:/ i’ll be ok tho”

“From Chloe: alright, good. how’s your homework coming along?”

“Me: got my math done, im working on that paper now, i sorta got side tracked when JACK showed up on my front porch!!”

“From Chloe: tell. me. everything! this second! as in all in one text and spare no details missy!”

“Me: kk so i came home and he was waiting here and then he said he loved me, then agreed we’d have to breakup & then we sdjkbrgbvlbwrglvb and then he left (btw he’s going back to atlanta tomorrow morning)”

“From Chloe: ahem that wasnt very detailed! and what does the jibberish stand for? kissing or... some thing else? ;)”

“Me: EWWW CHLO!! dont be dirty!! i wouldnt have breakup sex! i meant kissin ya freak”

“From Chloe: ahahaha i know! but why’d you kiss when i know for a fact you like our famous best friend over there?”

“Me: haha umm i dont like cody! ...... how did you know? is it that obvious?”

“From Chloe: even alli knows- we saw yall on the beach;) but its more obvious that HE likes YOU <3 i can feel the love already”

“Me: hahaha VERY FUNNY! do you really think he likes me? cuz i kinda reallyyyy like him:)”

“From Chloe: YES! ITS SUPER OBVI! now enough about you n coco- i met this super sweet guy today, remember Tyler? ya well...he’s PERFECT<3 and im pretty sure he likes me ;)” Chloe had always gotten guys attention. She wasn’t a flirt, she was just naturally attractive and she knew so much about guys from Cody “teaching” us over the years.

“Me: you & tyler?! yeah, i can see that;) i hope he asks you out soon, then we could double date if me & codes ever tell each other how we feel...”

“From Chloe: dont worry, i’ll convince cody to make a move, just wait for it”

“Me: okay, but dont make me look desperate or stupid!”

“From Chloe: aight, well we got 4 more days of school before the weekend so imma get some Z’s <3 luv yah, night”

“Me: ahaha ditto byee 143 too:)”

With that I had finished all my homework and fell asleep surrounded by my school work.
