Chapter 1
***Put you on repeat, play you everywhere I go. e-everywhere I go. I play you everywhere I go
Put you on repeat, play you everywhere I go. E-everywhere I go. I play you everywhere I go.
Yeah, when I put this song on replay, I can listen to it all day. I can listen to you all day, you all day.
Yeah, when I put this song on replay, we can start all over again, and again. ***
Zendaya blasted through my speakers of my alarm clock. I hit the snooze button. I rolled my body out of bed. I walked to my bathroom. I took a quick wash up, even though I took a shower last night. I brushed my teeth, washed my face, got dressed, and went downstairs.
I went into the kitchen and saw my mom. “Hey, momma!” I hugged her. “Hey, Mya.” I walked to the refrigerator and opened it. I grabbed my Arizona tea. I walked out the kitchen. “I’ll see you later, momma!” I yelled. I walked out the door, closing and locking it afterwards. I unlocked my car doors and hopped in. I closed the door, started the car, and drove off. Zendaya, Put’cha body down, blasted through my speakers. I turned it up, singing along.
**Get you on the floor! Don’t hurt nobody!
Can’t you see we’re made just to move our bodies?
Forget about the crowd, it’s gonna be the party.
If you say you can dance, boy then here come on and put’cha body down, put’cha body down! **
It pulled into the school’s parking lot and parked beside Kiona’s car. I took my key out of the ignition and stepped out, closing the door. I walked in school, holding my Arizona tea. I had fifteen minutes before class started. I walked into school and to the cafeteria. Our cafeteria was cool! We had the regular breakfast\lunch line. We had table and booths though. Our cafeteria was set up like a diner. Some people decided to eat outside, while some ate inside. I saw my crew over at our regular booth. I walked over to them.
“What’s up my babies?” I greeted. They all greeted back. I sat in my boy-best friend’s lap. His name is Jason. We call him J.
“You looking cute, ma,” our other friend, Taylor, said.
He was really cute. He’s Latino, but he acts like he’s black. To be honest, he is. We hung around us too long.
“Thanks, Tay.”
“Are y’all going to the party around 305?” J’s cousin, DeWayne, asked.
We all nodded. “You know I’m there!” India exclaimed. “Yo man is letting you go?” Tay asked.
India rolled her eyes at him and nodded. He’s always messing with her about something. First period’s bell rung. I grabbed my things and rushed to class. I made it to class in enough time. As soon as the class was the class was full, my geometry teacher, Mr. Low, started class. I took a notebook and began taking notes. I can’t fail. This is my last year in here, and I need to graduate to get away from here. Don’t get me wrong, I love it here. It’s just that I need to experience new things.

After school, India, Kiona, and I went back to my place. My momma was at work, but my daddy was asleep. We all went upstairs into my room. My parents didn’t care about my girls coming over. We’ve known each other since the sandbox days. As we entered my room, we all got comfortable. I turned my music on. Aaliyah, Rock the boat, came on. We all sung along as we did our homework on the bed. After doing our homework for twenty minutes, India called Ron to check on Blake. Afterwards, we got dressed.
