Chapter 4
India’s POV
I walked into Blake’s room to get him up for school. I walked over to his bed and shook him. He groaned and rolled over. I shook him again. This time, he turned his head towards me and opened his eyes. I smiled at him. He reminded me of our daddy.
“Time for school.”
He rolled out of bed and drug himself into the bathroom. I went through his drawers and closet, pulling out his outfit. I pulled out his army cargos, a red t-shirt that said: My game is sick in black letters, white knee socks, black and white Vans, and his gold Cross chain daddy gave him before he died.
I walked out of the room and into me and Ron’s room. I lay down in bed, feeling horrible. I wasn’t going to school today. I haven’t been in a week. I’ve just been feeling down and out. My mood is swinging every-which-way. I don’t know what’s been going on with me. I closed my eyes, hoping to get rid of the weird feeling in my stomach. Right as I was drifting into a sleep, I heard my name being called. I sat up to see Blake. He was telling me was ready to go. I told him Ron was downstairs making breakfast and to go eat. After he left, I got dressed in some grey sweatpants, a black tank-top, some black flip-flops, and I put my hair in a messy pony-tail. I grabbed my keys and walked out
I walked downstairs to see Ron and Blake sitting at the table, talking. It smelled good, and I was hungry. I walked in the kitchen and fixed me a plate. I was going to sit on my side of the table, but Ron pulled me into his lap. I sat my plate down and started eating.
“I’m trying to get her. I think she’s playing hard-to-get,”
Blake said, eating his food. I gave him a weird look. He laughed and told me it was a girl at his school name Gabby, and he likes her. He trying to get with her, but she’s playing ‘hard-to-get’. I couldn’t do anything but laugh. My lil bro though. After we were done eating, I took him to school. I then came back home. I climbed in bed, feeling drowsy. Oh my gosh! Soon after, Ron came in. I felt the bed shift under his weight. “Are you ok?” “Nooo.” “Poor, baby.” He wrapped his arms around my waist and just held me.
Mya’s POV
I’m all in Sage’s face, while kids gathered around, watching us. If you wanna know what happened, well I walked into school, minding my own business, when I hear my name in a familiar person’s mouth. My eyes followed the voice, and I saw Sage. She was talking to some of her friends about me. I wasn’t having that. I went over and told her if she had something to say about me, say it to my face and not behind my back. This female had the nerve to push me. My patient is already on a thin line. I pushed her back, but harder. She ended up hitting the lockers.
“You have one more time to push like you have lost your mind, and I swear you’ll be in the hospital.”
“Ain’t anybody scared of you.”
She pushed me with all of her force. I was already not in a good mood, and then she kicked my mood down some more. Now, I’m really about to kick her butt. I charged at her, ramming her into the lockers. I then had her by the neck and was punching her in the face. This female grabbed my hair and rammed my head into the lockers. Mane that hurt! I grabbed the back of her neck, bent her down and kneed her in the face. I busted her lip so badly. I then swung her to the ground. I was on top of her, beating the living-daylights out of her, that’s until someone pulled me off. I didn’t fight back or anything. My job was done.
“Get out of here!” the male’s voice yelled.
Kids scattered everywhere. I knew that voice. I looked behind me and saw Taylor. He looked at me and Sage with pure anger in them. Sage looked like she was ready to cry from the look he was giving us. It didn’t faze me. I was too upset to let a look make me cry.
