Chapter 9
India’s POV
It was 1:30 in the morning and I couldn’t seem to find my boyfriend. Blake and I were still at Christina’s house. I sat up in bed, trying to call, but it went straight to voice. I eventually became irritated and just went to bed. I didn’t have time for him and his games.

I felt my body getting shaken from its sleeping stage. My eyes opened and went to the clock. It was 6:25. I rolled over to see Blake.
“India, we’re gonna be late for school. Get up. I gotta see my girl.”
I chuckled, slowly sitting up. I looked beside me. Ron’s side was empty once again. I threw the covers off of me and pushed my body off of the bed. I made my way to the bathroom. I took a fifteen minute shower, did my hygiene, and got dressed.
I walked downstairs. Blake was watching TV. I told him I was leaving. He cleaned his place up, and we left. Before we went to school, I bought us McDonalds. I had to eat for my little girl. I know she’s hungry. I then took Blake to school, and I went to school.

During fourth period, the whole crew had English. That was a mistake they did. Every day, we get in trouble. We were all listening to Ms. Mel as she taught. Ms. Mel was a white lady. She was fairly tall. Every day she wore long skirts, sweaters, short heels, and she kept her hair in a bun. Kiona raised her hand and spoke.
“Lady, I can’t here you. Speak up.”
Ms. Mel glared at her and kept teaching. Half of the class chuckled. Taylor whispered something In Jason’s ear and they chuckled. Jason then reached in front of him and pulled Chastity’s hair, making her head jerk back. She turned around, hitting him.
“Jason, if you pull my hair one more time, I will slap you!” she yelled.
We all laughed, including Jason. He just kissed her. Ms. Mel looked at us, like she wanted to yell or go off. We snickered at her. Wayne balled up a piece of paper and threw it. It hit some random white girl across the room. The girl looked around, bewildered. He threw one again, hitting her right in the face. She shot her eyes over at our direction. We acted like we were doing our work. The girl raised her hand. Ms. Mel called on her. The girl ratted us out.
“She is lying!” Wayne protested, laughing a little.
“Stop interrupting my class,” was all that Ms. Mel said. The door creaked. Everybody turned their attention towards the door. Mya came back into the class from the bathroom. She made her way to her desk, which was right beside Ms. Mel’s desk. Mya was supposedly the worst kid in the class. She sat in her chair, sideways, crossing her legs, since she had on her cheerleading outfit. Her hair was in a nicely, neat pony-tail. Ms. Mel looked at Mya for a minute. Mya looked at her, frowning her eye brows. Then, Ms. Mel went back to teaching. Wayne stood up in the middle of class and started walking towards the front. We all eyed him. He sat in the front row seat, right in front of Mya.
“Move, DeWayne,” she scolded at him.
“Why I gotta move?”
“Just move!”
“Mya!” Ms. Mel quickly shouted her name.
Mya looked at her and then she shifted her eyes back to DeWayne. Ms. Mel just didn’t like Mya. She doesn’t like her because Ms. Drea came up here early in the year, going off on her about Mya’s grade. Mya has always been an A student, so when she came home with an F, she knew something wasn’t right. She came up here, talked to Ms. Mel, and we soon found out that Ms. Mel just handed out grades. The bell soon rung. We all shot up and left. While the crew walked down the hall, my phone vibrated. I pulled it out to see Trevan texting me.
