SAVE THE LAST DANCE FOR ME

Prologue

"He's dead,"

He can't be dead. He can't be dead... Scarlett didn't believed this, didn't dared to think of it. Scarlett knew this isn't true. She thought on how they can say such a thing. This is not true.

"Scarlett he's dead,"

Scarlett felt a hand on her shoulder comforting her. She looked to see that it was her brother's hand. Scarlett knew she should be glad someone's there to comfort her but she knew nothing but the fact that they were telling her that Adrian is dead.

Scarlett whipped her head at their direction and said "How do you know he's dead?" she asked them. "How can you even say such a thing?" Her whole family was there saying that Adrian is dead.

Her brother Xav stood infront of her. He was thinking of wether he should say something or shouldnt. He clutched the his fist and decided. He knew she should know the truth. He knows that she had the right to know but he was concerened on how his little sister would react. He reached for her hand and handed her a watch.

When Scarlett saw the watch she knew immediately who it belonged to. It was Adrian's. Even though she knew it, she wanted to ask anyway, "What is this?"

Xav knew no one will answer her so he said it to her instead. "You know what it is. It's Adrian's. It was found in the accident."

Scarlett couldnt believe him, she just couldnt.

"Scarlett you know what were saying is true, don't you?" Xav watched her sister's face turn from confused and hurt to grief stricken. He watched Scarlett examine the watch with shaking fingers and when she saw what was in the back of the watch she collapsed to the floor. Crying.

How can Adrian be dead? Scarlett kept asking herself that. She knew what happened. He was in a car crash and it exploded leaving his body charred and it cant be identified. But this was proof enough for her; wasn't it? She knew every evidence leads to him being dead but, how could she believe that. How can they expect her to  just take it in as if it was insignificant. She knew that she was crying not just because of the fact that Adriab is dead, but because she didnt had the chance to tell him how she felt out loud. Scarlett cried and clutched the locket in her hand. And now everything was over...
