Scarlett's POV

It has been a week since the incident with the new guy in the school reception. I knew well eneough not to have any more hopes in some miracle that will and can never happen. It was just some stupid fantasy, that one day he would come back and hold my hand like we use to. It was in other words, wishful thinking. But it really doesnt help me if I lock myself up in my room like last time. I just need to forget and get on with my work so that eventually I'll be able to have a great job and that kind of stuff in the future. So here I am, sitting in class and writting notes as the teacher read the history of art (which I find most boring in my favourite subject).

The teacher, Ms. Dale was currently talking about the art in the 1500's which was obviously famous. "The Renaissance was a period of time which the the type of art was made started in Itally..."  she just went on and on, until there was an announcement from the principal.

The speaker went on and he coughed before starting his announcement.

"As you may have all know this year we have a surprise event coming up. We decided that it will be a school festival. This festival will happen for a whole week. Each class has to make a station on which they must create an entertainment. This will be discussed further on later this afternoon at registration. Thank you." And the speaker turned of with a beep.

After a few seconds of ketting the principal's words sink in the class erupted in discussions on what it could be to what they want to do. I know we have school celebrations and stuff, but isn't a school festival a japanese thing? I don't have anything against them but it was quite weird. But on the other hand this was quite interesting.

 ---------

Throughout the whole day everyone was talking about the school festival, the gossip columns in our newspaper, in classes and in between as well as break and lunch. I thought this was a great oppurtunity to have some fun, since all I was doing was study, eat, sleep and hang out with Alice. I always thought Alice was fun to be around but what I was thinking was a wild kind of fun.

"So what are you going to do in the scholl festival?" Alice asked me, while eating her apple.

"It depends on what the whole class wants to do,"

"Oh,"

I looked up at her from my sandwich and asked her, "How about you?"

Alice tapped her finger in her chin while thinking and replied, " I haven't decided yet,"

We were now in the cafeteria eating our lunches. Students came rushing to the queue to get their foods and was still gossiping about the announcement of the principal. Everyone was really excited about it and was thinking of all sorts of ideas for the different attractions each class are going to organize. One of the girls thought of a hunted house while others thought of a cosplay cafe, you know the one where you dress up in made outfits and serve the guests in them. The ideas ranged from horror to humour. I already had some ideas on what our class could do, I just hope it wouldnt be the one I totally hated.

I was about to discuss my ideas to Alice when a tap on my shoulder stopped me mid way. I looked around to see Rick, with his black hair and blue eyes. "Hey Scarlett," Rick is one of my best friends in the school. I met him through Alice after I met her. Alice and Rick are an item, for two years know. So I completely knew that they were totally in love with each other.

"Hey," I replied back as Alice heard him. She stood up, abandoned her half eaten cup cake and rushed towards Rick giving him a peck on the cheek, which Rick gave back as a kiss on the lips. After a minute of their snog fest, they finally stopped and sat down.

Rick looked at me and asked "Have you met the new guy yet?" He began to look hopeful. I of course didn't like where this topic was heading to.

"Why?" I asked him curiously.

Rick was about to say something when Alice grabbed his hand and dragged him in a corner where I can't hear what they're talking about. Alice whispered something in Rick's ear and she looked pretty angry, after she finished whispering in his ear he looked at me with a smirk and looked back at Alice, he began to whisper something to her.

After five minutes of whispering between Rick and Alice, they came back grinning like loonatics who just won a lottery, and it was creepy to look at.

"Guys, what was that about?" I eyed both of them, trying to get the truth out of their mouths, but only end up getting a much wider grin from both of them. "Seriously, what is it?" I asked feeling annoyed at them.

"Nothing," They both said. I knew that if they didn't want to tell me anything then they wont, so I just let it shrug and went back to eating my sandwich, which has been delayed again, when I caught sight of  a figure who was walking straight towards our table in the corner of my eye. And I exacltly knew who he was.
