One year after Adrian's accident...
"Scarlett!" Scarlett looked around to find Xav running towards her.
"Xav? What are you doing here?"
Xav stopped running to catch his breath. "I was just wondering what my little sister thinks of her new college."
"I'm fine Xav. You know you don’t have to check on me every hour or so." Scarlett told him as a matter of fact. "I'm not a baby that needs looking after,"
"But you're still my baby sister," Xav grinned at her.
"I'm technically your younger sister Xav; not baby sister," Scarlett told him. She was really getting annoyed of Xav's constant check on her. It just drives her nuts. Everywhere she looks there he was checking up on her.
"Oh come one Scar, why are you so sour today?" Xav said teasingly.
Now he's teasing me; again!
Scarlett looked at her brother and just noticed that he was wearing new clothes. What was that about?
"Xav why are you so dressed up?" Scarlett knew she just found out something that she can tease her brother with. Xav's coffe coloured hair was nicely cut and he was wearing a white shirt and jeans with a black coat. All new. What was the occasion today?
Suddenly someone’s shouting voice screamed her name bringing her back to reality, "Scarlett!"
Scarlett looked around to see her best friend Alice waving for her to come to her. Scarlett sighed and turned towards Xav who was talking to someone in his phone.
"Sure I can come. Meet you there." Xav told someone in his phone and shut his phone.
Scarlett sighed, "Xav I have to go, Alice called me looking like a frantic person."
Xav smiled and said, "Its okay I have to go anyway, my mate just called me because of a class meeting,"
"By the way I'm going home a bit late today. I'm going with Alice somewhere. See you at home. Bye!"
Scarlett turned around and quickly jogged towards Alice's direction.
It was her first day in college. She was a freshman and she wanted to get along with people. She met Alice a month ago while looking around her new college. She was the first person she spoke with and they got along together, and that's how they became best friends. In a month they got to knew each other well; she knew her secrets and Scarlett knew hers. The only secret she couldn’t tell her best friend was the thing about Adrian. She was still finding it difficult for him not being there with her, but she was trying her best. She never wanted to know that kind of pain again.
"Scarlett come on!" Alice dragged me to the college gates.
"Why are we going to the college gates?" Alice looked at Scarlett with excitement in her eyes.
"Did you heard about those rumours?"
"What rumours?"
"There's a rumour about a rich guy that's going to study here, and the best part is he's totally hot," Alice said with a swoon. "I hope I have someone like that,"
"Alice is that all?" Scarlett told Alice with a sigh.
Alice looked at Scarlett with a shocked expression, "Aren't you even curious in what he looks liked?"
"No,"
"Not even a little?"
Scarlett shook her head and Alice ignored it. She just continued dragging Scarlett to the collge gates. They passed the art and theatre club before a crowd of girls cam into their view. It was like a celebrity was coming to their school.
Is he that important? Or is it because he's so good looking?
As Alice and Scarlett got near the gates, the crowed parted to let a black Lamborghini drive through the school gates and toward the main building in the side of the theatre block. The crowd was practically screaming their heads off that Scarlett thought the glasses in the school would break.
"We just missed it," Alice said, showing her disappointment.
"That's not so bad you know. It's not like he's a celebrity or something," Scarlett told Alice while turning around and going off to the art building. Alice quickly grabbed Scarlett's hand and smiled at her.
"I know what we need to do."
