Chapter 4

(Nattlie's POV)

As I walked through the doors of the cafeteria I could see Beth sitting at our table with a few of the cheerleaders, Becca, Lucy and Sindy.

"Oh my gosh where were you? I saw you and that guy picking up books but I left you coz I have no time for losers" she said as I reached the table and gave a little laugh.

I laughed as well. I know I shouldn't have but it's expected of me.

He wasn't a loser. Not saying I would be friends with him or anything but he did have nice eyes. Blue. Really blue, more specific...like the waters just off Australia. But then you have most probably never been... so go then you'll get it.

But blue or not that guy did help me and I did say thank you so I guess we even.

"So Natts tell me, what you think of that hot new twin. Isn't he to die for? Look you can have him but if you ain't gonna sink those sexy claws of yours in him I will" said Beth with a little wink.

I look at her with disgust and said "Go for it he's all yours!" We all laughed and I took my place next to Beth.

"Speak of the devil" said Sindy with a little cough.

I looked up from my salad and she was right. That 'Mr. It' came walking towards our table with a grin on his face.

I quickly looked back down hoping he was just gonna walk past. But no he doesn't.

As he gets closer I can see his brother tagging alone behind him. I could see he wasn't keen in being there, as if he would rather be at the library reading knowing that him coming closer to us could mean disasters.

Mr. It squeezes himself between to myself and a cheerleader by the name of Britney.

"Hey there, Natts right?"he asked. I turned to him, gave a smile and replied: "No sorry it's Nattlie. Only my best friend calls me Natts and people I actually like" then turned back to my lunch.

The whole table starts laughing even his brother laughed a little. "Good one. Look I was wondering if you going to the party with anyone this Friday and was wondering if I could be the lucky guy to take you?"

I looked at Beth for help. "Oh ye she is and I'm sure she won't mind going with you" she replied on behalf of me.

I looked at her giving her a look as if to say not that help! Get rid of him.

Now I had to think quick. "Liam is it?" I started before he cut me off correcting me "No is Luke" and I carried on talking " Ok what ever it is I am going but not with you sorry."

He didn't say anything for a few seconds. Then asked if I was already going with someone else.

"Ye sorry I am....I'm...ah...Ummm... Going with your brother sorry maybe next time? Ok I have to go bye" I blurted out the last bit stood up and walked out quickly.

I could hear foot steps following me. I turned round and saw it was Mr It and tag alone.

They caught up with me and Mr It grabbed my arm to turn me round.

"Let go of me you hurting me" I said to him firmly and he let go.

"Just hear me out. My bro doesn't go to parties so if you think that was to scare me off it didn't so just give me a chance. I'll make sure we have fun if you know what I mean" he said with a trying to be sexy voice.

"Ewww no! Make it hell no! Like I said I'm going with your brother ask him yourself" I replied. I gave Tag along a look to say help me out.

Luke turned to his brother and he nod.

"Well then. I'm impressed. No one has ever got my bro to say yes to a party before. So I'll let this one slide but next time it's me and you" he said looking me up and down as he said his last sentence.

Luke then turned and walked back towards the cafeteria. I remained standing there and Tag along walked closer towards me.

"I'm not going. Just go with him he's not gonna give up" he said with a serious face.

" Look I'm sorry I just panicked and had to come up with something. I don't wanna go with him, like I said, so you the best I could do. Just please come I don't want your brother on my case the whole night. At least if you there he won't." I say in desperation.

"Fine I'll think about it" he said letting down his guard.

I took a step closer looking up into his blue eyes and pleading.

He took a deep breath in and said he would be there.

"Not the whole night though. I'll be there for two minutes then leave. Just so he can see we there "together" but you gonna have to find some other person to be your tail and make sure he doesn't try anything"

I gave a huge smile and through myself onto him, giving him a hug. I could feel he was a bit uncomfortable in the situation as he was just standing there tapping my back with a hand so I let go and took a few steps back.

"Thank you so much. Ok great I'll see you there and please just wear something...nice" I said looking at his shirt.

He suddenly became shy, looked to the floor, gave a nod then walked off.

I started walking towards my locker and was rethinking everything. Maybe I should just cancel it and not go. On the other hand Beth would never forgive me so I guess I'm going.
