Her small body lie there against the cold, damp, sand that had taken a liking to sticking to her skin. Opening her eyes, she quickly regretted it only to close them again from the flash of light. She sat up slowly, placing a hand over her head to shield her inhumanly ocean blue eyes from the sun above her.

The crowd of people looked down at her in curiosity before some of the men started to whistle childishly at the girl. She looked down at herself, her eyes widening before she quickly folded her arms over her chest. Her knees pulled against her body as her wide blue eyes looked around.

"Where did she come from?" Someone asked from the back of the crowd. The people around them shrugged their shoulders, turning heads, asking one another the same question.

She closed her eyes tight, hearing the ringing in her ear. Each sound wave sent a shock into the very middle of her brain, and her eyes began to water. Two men walked up to the girl, one of them placing a jacket around her shoulders. He looked at the crowd of people who whispered to one another. His eyes glanced back at the girl sending a gentle smile before helping her up from the ground.

She tried standing up only to fall back down, his strong but gentle grip around her arms tightening as he lifted her body off the ground, placing her onto the stretcher.
