And it seems
I left my heart
Outside your doorRRRIIINNGG!!!
My alarm clock wakes me up in the morning.
I still feel extremely tired, and my neck hurts.
I eventually get out of bed and head to the bathroom to shower. I plug my iPod in the speaker that is placed on the counter, starting the morning with some Coldplay.
When I was done, I went to change and get ready for school. Then I headed downstairs.
"Good morning, Kevin," my mom greets. "How did you sleep?"
"Good I guess. Thanks," I reply still a little tired.
Before my mom can reply my dad comes stomping downstairs.
"Hey everyone." He turns to me, "Kevin, who were you talking to last night?" He asks with a look of interest plastered on his face.
"No one."
But then I remember last nights' encounter with that old woman.
I quickly run upstairs and notice the book she gave me.
I study its cover.
Your typical brown leather, hard cover diary, but there is something on it.
"Hieroglyphics? What's this all this about?" I mutter to myself.
Just then, my mom calls me from downstairs, bringing me out of my trance I had gone in while studying the book.
I hide the book in my jacket and run downstairs and into the car.
*****"Kevin. My man!" Ryan, my best friend calls as I walk into the school.
"Hey dude," I say with our signature hand shake.
Ryan and I have been friends for five years now; since we moved here.
He was the tech-wizard-geek-kid that no one talked to, unless your computer had a virus or was hacked.
So, you can tell he approached me in serious desperation. Honestly, if he hadn't, to this day I would be just another lonely writer.
"Did you catch the new episode of Robo-wars last night?" He asks me excitedly.
"No dude, I had tons of homework last night. Mr. Litton would not go easy on the calculus yesterday. "
Just then someone bumps into me. We both go crashing too the floor.
I'm sitting on the floor, frozen, when I see who crashed into me.
"I am so sorry," she apologizes. "I'm such a klutz sometimes! And by the way, cool diary." She says with a giggle. She stood up, collecting her things.
Yep, she is the most popular girl in school. Amy Bards.
Just then an arm slings around her shoulder. It belongs to none other than her boyfriend, Charles O'Connor. The schools' stereotypical jock and jerk.
They are pretty much the most stereotypical couple in the whole world.
"Don't be jealous Kev, she will never like you back, so let it go," the voice in my head taunts.
"Man, you're drooling over her!" Ryan states with a hysterical laugh, bringing me out of my daydream.
"Forget it man, this isn't some romance novel. She will stay with a jock and not some writer or tech geek. Facts are facts," He says as if stating the obvious.
The bell rings, signaling the first warning bell. So we part ways, and head to class. I was slightly depressed by the encounter.
