Whatever it is
It feels like it's laughing at me through the glass
Of a two sided mirror

The journey towards 'there' was a long one.

The moons glow guides my way.

So many questions run through my mind as I try to figure out what this place is and why I'm here.

"I have been here for a week?" I ask no one specific.

"Oh my gosh, I'm missing exams!" I cry out loud.

For the first time since I woke up
I start to think about my family.

'My mom has probably sent out a search party for me.' I think, getting worried.

'I'm going to fail my senior year. There goes UCLA."

'What time is it anyway?' I think as I look at my watch.

"Great. My watch isn't working!" I shout, angry with this whole situation.

I'm so consumed in my worries that I didn't notice the sound of snapping twigs or the whooshing of air.

"Who's there?" I shout, getting even more worried, once I did notice.

All I can hear are the faint noises of a girly giggle.

'What is with the people in this place a giggling?' I think to myself.

"Oh we love to giggle all the time!" The girl sarcastically states.

'How did she kn-'

"Oh my gosh, do you need to ask that every time someone hears your thoughts?" She asks, interrupting my thoughts.

A shocked expression crosse my face as I try to find the source of the voice.

"Your thinking,'who is this girl and how can she read my thoughts?'!"
She says in a squeaky voice.

"Well you know who I am an-"

"Would you people stop saying I know who you are!" I scream, anger boiling in my throat, "I don't know who any of you stupid people are!"

She doesn't seem phased at all by my outburst.

"Ha ha ha." She forces a laugh. "I'm not phased by your outburst. There are outbursts much worse than your little tantrum in this place," she laughs harder. Her laugh echoes through the woods, hitting trees and bouncing back.

"Please just tell me who you are," I say, wanting to know but probably sounding so pathetic, but at this point I'm desperate.

Then a figure emerges from the trees. They seem to be floating, wearing a cloak thicker than the darkness around us.

The air around them moves rapidly as they come closer.

Anxiety rises up my throat, every part of my body screaming at me to run.

But I don't.

She now hovers just above the ground right in front of me.

All that can be heard is my heavy breathing.

She takes off the hood of her cloak. I completely freeze when I see who it is.

"Layla..."

Just then I felt my body shutting down.

I passed out.
