Everybody's got the reason Everybody's got the way
We just catching and releasing What builds up
throughout the day

A cold breeze grazes my skin as come into consciousness.

I dig my hands into the fresh dirt to push myself off the hard ground.

'DIRT?!' I think to myself as I dart up off the floor and start to panic.

I dust my hands off on my jeans and run my hand through my hair as I try to remember what happened.

"Looks like someone is finally awake," A female voice say and begins to chuckle.

Its dark, and shadows linger everywhere within my view. The only light is the soft glow of the full moon.

"Who are you, where am I, and what do you want with me?" I said with worry evident in my tone as I try to act brave but fail.

Its only now that I take in my near surroundings.

'Why am I in a forest?' I think to myself.

Then I see it. The shimmer of gold behind a rock.

I stalk towards it with caution, not knowing what is behind the rock.

"Okay, how it this book here?" I ask to no one in particular.

Just then I hear a giggle. It sounds like a blue-jays song coming from a crow.

"How is it not here, gosh you are stuuu-pidd," The girls voice says.

"Who are you?" I ask, growing more agitated by the second.

"Oh you know exactly who I am," the voice say as a mater-of-factly.

Turning around to find the source of the voice, anger is boiling inside of me.

All I see are shadows.

The book starts to vibrate in my hands and I look at it in utter shock.

Then I remember how I got here.

"I was sucked into the book," I breathe in disbelief, remembering what happened in my room.

"Ding! Ding! Contestant number one is correct! Your prize is nothing," the girl says sarcastically, having a giggling fit.

"I've had enough of this sick game now, who are you?" I spit out. Leaving myself slightly shocked at my tone.

She immediately stops laughing and changes to a much more serious tone.

"I think you can figure that out on your own. You've been here for a week already, and still know nothing."

"A WEEK?!" I scream.

"Yes a week," she states as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "If you want to find out who I am, then start walking towards the moon and wait when you get there!"

"To the moon?" I ask, confused.

"No stupid. Towards, now go. You will get there when you get there."

"And one more thing...." She says, breaking the silence. "Welcome to The Writers Forest," she whispers so low I almost didn't hear her.

I feel her breath graze my skin on the back of my neck, my hairs rising.

'Where on earth is that?' I ask myself.

After a few moments I pick up the book and begin my trek towards the moon.

I hope to get some answers.

Hope
