Oh baby
It's all about
The moon

The sun was beginning to set. I had been walking for hours, no clue where I was going.

Book and scroll in my hands as I made my way through this familiarly unfamiliar forest.

'And no one has decided to capture me yet.'  Mocking nothing in particular as I stumble my way through this place.

It is soon pitch black, only the moon as a light.

So I follow the moon, hoping it will lead me to the edge of the Earth, so I can walk off.

I've had enough of this sick prophecy game.

I don't even want to be king.

"This is all so stupid." I mumble in a whisper.

"What afraid the trees are going to hear you?" Says a cold voice from somewhere in the darkness.

I turn slowly, trying to find the person.

'I know that voice.' I rack my brain over and over to find who that voice belongs to.

Something inside of me tells me that this is not someone to be playing guess who with, but I just ignore it.

I need to find out who this is.

He laughs evilly, as if he was all around me.

"Want a clue?" I can hear the enjoyment in his voice.

"I'll take your silence as a yes. What has yellow eyes, tons of gold and is always after you?" He asks me.

When I don't answer he fires the riddles again, slightly annoyed.

"Okay, what lives in the forest, has bark and is dark in color?" He asks truly convinced that he got me this time, but I still don't get it.

"What has claws, teeth and was sent to capture you by Slater?" He shouts, completely annoyed.

Before my mind can grasp what has happened my feet are running as fast as possible.

I don't know where I am going, I just keep running, following the light of the moon, lungs burning and heart ready to tear out of my chest.

His paws hitting the ground and my racing heart are the only things I hear.

Stray branches are ripping into my flesh, air whipping the freshly open wounds, dust hitting my eyes.

Then it goes silent...

The only sound, my heart.

I think I lost him in the dark.

I stop and fall onto the floor, feeling dizzy. My sight goes blurry, but I need to keep going.

I slowly stand up, blood and sweat dripping onto the floor from all over my body, shaking like a wet dog.

When on my feet with the slightest bit of balance, I stumble as fast as I can, limp and all.

The crunching of the leaves are the only thing I'm alert to at this point, as I still tightly grip the scroll and book.

The crunching gets louder, much louder than the sound of the leaves under my feet alone.

"Aahhhh!" I scream at the top of my voice as I fall to the ground.

The pair of jaws tightens around my neck, piercing deeper into my flesh.

His cold, evil laugh fills the air as he start to speak with my neck lying paralyzed in his jaws.

"You thought I lost you, huh? That was fun, we should do this again sometime." He begins to walk forward, dragging my paralyzed body with him.

"Now let go see what Mr. Power has to say to you." He whispers as I lose consciousness.

'Mr. Power? I know that nickname. I gave it to two people....'

Gone.
