Nona’s POV
This bed is the best of all. I don’t want to get up. All I want to do is lay down here all day. Actually, I’m planning to marry this bed. I’m like lying in the cloud nine. Who wouldn’t like that when it’s giving you all the comfiest feeling? But of course, my plan of not leaving this bed won’t happen. Someone would be intervening in my deep relationship with this bed.
“Nona!?!”
I told you so. I thought, I would be far away from my hyper best friend Laura but it seems that someone tries to dethrone her from being the hyper active queen.
“Nona! Nona! Nona! Wakie! Wakie!” Gail jumped over my bed with her high pitched voice.
I groaned mentally and covered my face with the softest pillow I’ve ever touched. I hugged the white duvet even more, not letting Gail to grab it. But I think she’s some sort of psycho for she read my mind and pulled the duvet from me, exposing my body.
“Oh c’mon, Nona! The sun’s out, it’s gonna be a beautiful day! This never happen in London, admit it; wherein the sun is always smiling like this.” Gail whined as she tried to pull the pillow from face as well.
It’s true. We never have this kind of weather in London always. Even in summer, the cold freaky weather is always present. Gail is just a lucky one since she’s living by NZ’s neighboring country. They experience the monsoon at least twice a year whilst in London, I don’t know but it’s seem every kind of rainy weather you can call have probably gone by that city.
But let’s get back to my current situation. I can’t just leave this bed. Its gravity pulling me, telling me it’s better to stay here.
Gail is determined enough that she finally got the pillow out of my face.
“Get up! Don’t waste the day lying here. I know how comfy this bed is but…” then I looked up at her. “… We’re being called to have fun out there! So hurry up.”
Gail finally got out of my bed. I sit up sighing deeply. I guess Gail is right. As I look out the window, the sun is shining brightly which made me smile.
I didn’t waste any second. I went straight to the bathroom and took a quick shower and brushed my teeth. Once done, I went out to the bed room to retrieve a pair of denim shorts and white top. I let my wet hair falls over my shoulder. Let the air and the warmness of the weather dry it up. When I was about to put on my red Vans, Gail returned to check if I’m ready. I sprung up from my bed and encouraged her that I’m ready. She smiles at me from ear to ear. She’s really excited of getting out.
“Leggo!”
And without any warning, she literally dragged me out of our hotel room by taking my wrist. She’s too strong for a girl, I could say. We got on the lift and she could not just stop talking. She kept telling about how she’s excited on our girl day out that we’d really going to have fun and try to check out some cute boys.
Really lucky her that I can’t just talk back or else, I’m going to make her shut in a while. It’s not that I’m complaining about her. I really like Gail a lot, to be honest. But I didn’t know she’s this talkative. Which remind me of… myself. I mentally shook my head for that. Well, I think it’s in a girl’s instinct to talk a lot when she’s over excited about something. I understand Gail a lot better.
Once we got out of the elevator, we were greeted by a blonde. I mean a blonde, it’s Niall.
“Hey ladies!” he greeted. “Where’re you heading?”
“To the park to check out some cute boys. Right, Nona?” Gail nudged by my side.
I meekly smile and I hope Niall could read my facial expression that it’s not my idea at all. And it’s seems like Niall doesn’t like the idea either.
