Chapter 11 - The true mission lies Ahead

Coriakin main room was beautiful and haled a illusion of space at night, it was time like this i wish Peter was here. Coriakin haled a scroll and let go, it straightened out to s three dimensional map.

"that's quite beautiful" i looked to Eustace as he mumbled it

"i mean for a make believe map in a make believe world." he retorted, i smirked at him the cracks were starting to show.

"there is the source of your troubles..." he paused as the map zoomed to one island

"Dark Island. A place where evil lurks, It can take any form. it can make your darkest dreams come true. it seeks to corrupts all goodness to steal the light from this world." Coriakin informed us looking to Edmund.

"how do we stop it" Lucy asked

"you must break its spell. that sward you carry there are six others" he said pointing to Edmunds sward

"have you seen them?" he asked

"yes" Coriakin answered this was becoming so real and dangerous, even though i wanted to go home i knew i couldn't just because i couldn't have the support of Peter i didn't make me weak.

"the six lords they passed through here?" Caspian spoke for the first time since entering the mansion.

"indeed."

"where were they headed" i asked he looked at me

"where i sent them he walked off the map and pointed as it yet again showed us a different island.

"to break the spell you must follow the blue star to Ramandu's island. there the seven swards must be laid at Aslan's table. Only then can their true magical power can be realised. but beware you are all about to be tested"

"tested?"

"until you lay down the seventh sward. evil has the upper hand. it will do everything in its power to tempt you." he directed it at Lucy

"be strong. don't fall to temptation, to defeat the darkness out there you must defeat the darkness inside yourself." he looked to Caspian and i . we looked at the blue start again before we left for the boat.

"Coriakin may have good intentions but he scared the living daylight out of me" i muttered as we rowed back to the ship.

"i have face the white witch, minotaur's, black dwarfs, Telmarine, Caolmerin solders', ugly beasts and not one of them gave me the shivers like he did" i finished

"he couldn't have been that bad mama" Christopher stated.

"try having a magician looked deep into your eyes and fining the darkest parts of your soul see how you feel" i raised my eyebrow. that night we face our worst storm but we hoped it would past, i'm afraid it didn't for 14 days we crashed about trying to steady the ship make it though out darkest times, it seemed endless.

i was now in the map room with Caspian, Edmund and Christopher

"so we're stuck her with half rations, with food and water for two more weeks, maximum" Drinian stated i was on a chair with my arms held out trying to concentrate.

"this is your last chance to turn back your majesties. there is no guarantee that we'll spot the blue star anytime soon. not in this storm. needle in a haystack, trying to find this Ramandu place. we could sail right past it and off the edge of the world." he finished

"or get eaten by sea serpents" Edmund added

"patience is a virtue" i sang still trying to concentrate.

"not when this storm could jeopardize the ship. I'm just saying the crew are getting nervous, these are strange seas we're sailing the likes I've never seen before."

"then perhaps, Captain, you would like one to explain to Mr Rhince that we are abandoning the search for his family" ha i could tell that got him.

"I'll get back to it. Just an word of warning, the sea can play nasty tricks on the crews mind." with that he left

"what are you trying to do Emma" i shushed him not being able to gain some focus. i saw images of a island and the storm settling. i opened my eyes.

"there will be land ahead soon, as for the Storm it will settle. goodnight you two." i took Christopher's hand and we went back to our quarters.
