they next morning it was as i said the storm was settled and after a few more hours we saw land up ahead. i kept repeating what my father said it that even though i felt lost deep within i never was. i still had Peter in my heart and Christopher's, maybe he wasn't here in person but in heart. we were close to ashore on a what frankly looked like a dead island.
"i doubt the lords stopped here my liege there looks to be nothing living" Reep stated from the other boat.
"well when we get ashore take you men and search for food and water. the five of us will look for clues" Caspian relied.
"wait don't you mean the six of us?" Eustace asked we all looked back to him.
"oh come on please don't send me back to the rat" he pleaded
"i heard that" Reep called over
"big ears" he mumbled
"i heard that too" we all chuckled, pulling ashore we got of the boats we went searching for clues.
"look we're not the first ones on this island." Caspian pointed to a rope attached to a large boulder of a rock
"the seven lords?" i asked coming closer.
"could be" i turned to my son.
"go with Reep please" i raise an eyebrow before huffing and heading off. Caspian threw a stone down the hole and it clattered.
"what do you think could be down there?" Caspian wondered
"let's find out" Edmund went down first.
"Emma would you stay up here and make sure the rope doesn't give way?" Caspian questioned
"of course" i sat down next to the rock as Caspian then went in and followed by Lucy i waited, at one pointed i head the sound of swards clashing and moments later Lucy was climbing out i gave her a hand.
"what happened down there?" i asked her
"there was a pool and it bewitched them they went mad. Edmund raving about making things to gold and taking it. wanting a kingdom of his own deserving to rule. Then Caspian thinking his leadership is being undermined, that when the fought but i stopped them" she informed me as the other two were coming up.
"let's get back to the boats" i told them we headed off to where the crew was packing up.
"what did you find?" i ask
"its volcanic you majesty nothing much grows" Rhince told us. i nodded
"where's Eustace?" Lucy asked
"i believe he's out there not helping with the boats" Reep replied
"Eustace! Eustace" there was nothing.
"Edmund I've go a bad feeling" she turned to her brother.
"I'll go and find him" he mumbled
"I'll help" me and Caspian left with Edmund going further into the Island.
"Eustace" i shouted as did the other two i stopped seeing a valley of gold
"treasure" Edmund whispered, i rolled my eyes typical Ed
"Trouble" Caspian replied, someone who has his senses back, i made my way down into i looking around when i saw a shoe.
"Edmund!" i called he came over and i showed him.
"Eustace" he mumbled then i pointed to a set of scorching clothes
"no...cousin" he held up his stuff. one was a notebook it was slightly burned but not that bad.
"I'm sorry" Caspian told his friend
"he was just a boy, i never should have left him... what could have happened to him?" i put my arm over to comfort him.
"in this place anything and he wasn't the first." we looked back to a skeleton who had been her a while and looked to be one of the seven lords i looked around for a sward
"it lord octisian we should find his..." i pulled the sward out we nodded and headed back to the ship, i felt sorry for Eustace out of everything dying wasn't one of the things i would have wished on him. but we had to continue. we left heading towards the boat.
"Emma. Em" Caspian and Ed shouted i didn't have time to react as i was picked up i screamed i craned my neck. i was being carried by a dragon, my face dropped is i tried to wriggle out of his grasp we headed towards the ship.
"Emma" Lucy screamed as we went past her and back to the island.
"Lucy!" i replied we flew over mountains of rock and round till i saw the message
I AM EUSTACE
"you have got to be kidding me" i looked up at the dragon who was supposed to me my cousin in law.
"Eustace do you think we could get down now i kind of have to tell the others" he screeched flapping to where i was last and put me on the ground.
"get away from her" the boys yelled i jumped up
"leave him alone now. it Eustace the dragon is Eustace" i bellowed when i said it they lowered a but.
"it can't be" Ed stated
"it is he write in big letter i am Eustace so... call the others here."
