Chapter 12 - Nightmares

that night i tossed and turned in my sleep i couldn't get the dark thoughts out of my head, i needed Peter he was always there to tell me that everything would b fine. even if planning something went wrong i was always by his side.

i was back at home, Christopher was struggling with his homework and i was suggesting going to Narnia.

"who is up for a trip to Narnia." Christopher beamed

"why would you go back to Narnia, love? I'm not there" he asked standing up.

"i know Peter it's just a adventure." i replied

"an adventure without me, I've always been by your side Emma through thick and thin never once did i leave you and now you want to go to Narnia where I'm no longer allowed to be." he voice started rising.

"Peter" but he cut me off

"no Emma, it like your rub salt into the wound you know i can't stand know i won't ever be able to go back there yet you still want to go where is us sticking together. WHERE IS IT EMMA"

"PETER!" I screamed sitting up tears formed dripping down my face. it was just a nightmare i sighed.

"mama" i jumped Christopher was standing next to my bed.

"did you have a night mare as well?" he nodded, i smiled weakly shuffling over.

"come on, you may be getting older but I'm still here." he climbed in and hugged me, i wrapped him in my arms as he fell asleep. i on the other hand couldn't i felt that Peter was mad at me for coming back when he couldn't also that the support i normally had was gone because i had gotten used to him always being there.

"Emma" a voice whispered i looked around

"Emma" there it was again the room had settle into a calm atmosphere i slipped out of bed not waking Chris and went to the mirror.

"daddy" i sighed as i saw that he was next to me as tears streamed down my face.

"don't cry my dear." he soothed.

"i can't help it, i feel lost without Peter nearly everything i see i wish he could and then that terrible nightmare. the look in his eyes when someone says Narnia. its like a part of him is missing." i explained.

"just because he is not here with you in person doesn't not mean he never is, for apart of his heart is always with you. Peter understand that the time was up and even though he may not come back he always has Narnia with him through you, Christopher and Eleanor." he replied i gave him a weak smile.

"be strong my child it is not a shame to fell so lost but when you look deep within you will find that you never where."
