CHAPTER SIXTEEN---Lie Ability

The chimeras, Stiles, Parrish and I were in the hallway of the closed unit in Eichen House.

I was still paralyzed from Tracy's kanima venom, only staying standing because Josh was holding me up.

Tracy had Stiles pinned to the wall.

Josh let me fall into the wall.

I groaned in pain and annoyance, sliding down to the floor.

Parrish walked closer, still in the daze of the hellhound.

Theo pulled Lydia out of her room, holding his claws to her throat, looking at Parrish. "Back off." Tracy let go of Stiles, pushing him to the floor next to me. Parrish continued to advance toward us. "I said back off." Theo looked at Tracy, Josh and Cory. "Take him."

"The guy's on fire," Cory told us.

"You'll heal," Theo told them. "Do it."

Josh and Cory hesitated.

Tracy growled, running toward Parrish, stabbing her claws into Parrish's stomach, but nothing happened. She looked down in confusion.

Parrish growled, backhand punching Tracy in the face, making her fall into the wall and slide to the floor.

Josh ripped off a wire from the wall, making sparks fly, absorbing the electricity from the wires to fire at Parrish through his other hand.

Nothing happened.

"Theo, this isn't working," Josh told him. 

Parrish pushed Josh against the wall, making him fall.

Valack came out of hiding from behind Theo, drilling a hole into his back, making him scream and let go of Lydia. 

Lydia fell to her knees, looking at Stiles and me.

Valack hit Theo in the face with the drill, making him fall. "Sorry, but I'm not done with her yet."

Valack picked Lydia up from the floor, carrying her away.

I struggled to move, but I was still paralyzed from the venom. "No!"

Stiles stood.

Parrish lifted Josh from the floor, slamming him down, raising his hand to slash into him.

Cory caught Parrish's wrist to stop him, smirking. 

Parrish glared at Cory dangerously.

Cory's smirked disappeared.

Parrish burst into flames once again, burning Cory along with him, making him scream in agony, throwing him to the floor in front of me.

The fire spread from Cory to me, catching my arm on fire, making me scream.

Stiles scrambled closer worriedly. "Stacie! Stace!" 

Stiles pulled me away from Cory, kneeling next to me to put out the fire before it could spread.

I breathed heavily in pain, tears in my eyes. "I'm okay. Ah."

Parrish growled.

Theo stood, picking up a pipe from inside Lydia's room, throwing it into Parrish's chest.

Parrish fell to his knees. The glow faded from his eyes.

Stiles looked at me. "Stacie. You okay?"

I looked behind him down the hall to see Valack close a door, taking Lydia away. "Stiles, he has Lydia. Go. Go!"

Stiles stood, running toward the door at the end of the hallway, trying to open it, but it was locked from the other side. "Hey! Lydia!" He continuously banged on the door in an effort to get it open to no avail. "Lydia! Lydia!"
