Liam was very injured.

Hayden, Stiles and I helped Liam inside.

People ran past us, screaming.

Hayden gasped.

"Come on, come on," I told them, running toward a classroom, opening the door. Stiles and Hayden followed, carrying Liam with them. I closed the door, pointing at the desk. "The desk, the desk."

I ran toward the desk, sweeping everything off of the desk, making everything fall to the floor, clearing it.

Hayden and Stiles laid Liam onto the desk.

Liam screamed in agony.

"Okay, okay, Liam," Hayden told him.

Liam groaned in pain. "I'm okay. I'm fine." Hayden, Stiles and I pulled up Liam's lacrosse jersey to look at his deathly looking wounds. "Is it bad?"

Hayden shook her head. "No."

"Very," Stiles answered.

I gave Stiles a look. "Okay, okay."

"What do you guys usually do when this happens?" Hayden asked.

"Oh, I usually pass out," Stiles answered. "And I think I might still do that."

"Stiles!" I told him.

"Okay, okay," Stiles told us.

I looked at Hayden. "Scott did this with pain. He could trigger it. Pain makes you human."

"He's already in pain," Hayden told us.

"Right, okay, but maybe adding a little more could help take away the pain," I told them.

Liam groaned in agony.

Hayden remembered something. "Take away his pain."

Hayden kissed Liam, taking away his pain, making black veins spread through their cheeks.

Liam laid back down, still wounded, but no longer in pain, breathing heavily.

"Okay, next time, I'll kiss him," Stiles told us.

I chuckled in amusement and relief.

More people were running into the school, screaming.

A girl tripped, sliding back away from the double doors, scratches in her face, terrified.

I helped her stand, leading her into the nearest classroom. "Come on." The girl couldn't stand anymore, falling to the floor. I close the classroom door, looking at the girl. The girl looked at me in relief. I heard growling from outside the classroom, turning my head toward the door, bracing the door closed. The beast started to tear at the door. I looked at the girl. "Go. Go out the window. Go." The girl scrambled up to her feet, running toward the window, looking back toward me. "Go!"

The girl crawled out of the window.

The window above the door shattered, the glass falling over my head.

The beast punched through the door, clawing into my arm, making me scream. It pulled me through the door out into the hallway.

Scott ran closer. He was badly injured, bleeding from the head, blood staining the side of his face. His eyes glowed red. He growled, running toward the beast, jumping into the air, clawing into his chest, making him let go and fall to the floor.
