Allie
I pull Ace into my living room, and he kisses me before I can do anything.
"I'm so sorry." He whispers.
"Ace, please." I say. He backs away, and we both sit on the couch, and we look away awkwardly.
"He's a douche." Ace says instantly. I feel the tears come, and I look down.
"Allie. Allie please don't cry. You're more than he's ever gonna be." Ace says. I can't help it, and I cry into my hands, trying but failing to stop the tears.
Ace holds me and rocks me, and I cry into his chest, feeling the pain squeeze me like a snake.
"It'll be okay..." He repeats, but I don't listen, and soon I'm sleepy. I lay against his chest, feeling his warmth.
"C'mon. You're going to bed." He whispers. He literally picks me up and carries me in his arms. He sets me on my bed, but I don't let go. I don't want to let him go at all.
"Allie. Allie let go." He whispers. I still keep holding on, and he sighs but climbs in with me, holding my waist.
"Allie?" He asks.
"Hmmm?" I ask sleepily.
"Promise me something." He whispers.
"Okay." I reply.
"Promise me that you won't let anyone take the lights from your eyes. Promise me you'll still be the beautiful Allie King. Don't ask how I know you're last name." He quickly says the last part.
"I promise."
"Now hold my hand, then you'll understand how much I care about you..."
I obey, and I hold his hand and fall asleep, promising to myself I would never let him take the light from my eyes.....
