I'll Go Down With You

Chapter 19 (Part 1)

"WHATS WRONG WITH YOU?!!" Jack yells at me. I sit at one of the tables, looking down at my hands. I can't believe I cheated on Allie. What's wrong with me?! I put my head down, willing myself not to cry. Especially since I'm the one who screwed up shit.
"Did you call her?" Justin says meekly after Jack storms off. I nod, and he shakes his head.
"Kellin....." He says.
"I get it okay?! I messed up, and now I know I won't be able to go fucking back!" I yell. He looks at me, and he leaves me to my thoughts. I call her, and she doesn't pick up. I keep calling and calling hoping she'll accidentally press answer instead of ignore.

I know this won't work, but I keep dialing hoping again and again. When I've called the fiftieth time, I give up.

I give it all up.

Allie
I wake up, and I realize I've been asleep for the whole day.
"Ace, you there?!" I yell out. I hear noise from the kitchen, and I get out of bed.
"You should've woken me-" I start to say. I see him flipping a pancake. Wait a minute....?
"IVE BEEN ASLEEP FOR TWO DAYS?!" I yell out. He chuckles, but it's not funny.
"Why didn't you wake me up?" I demand. He shrugs.
"You seemed so tired. I didn't want to wake you, either. You're freaking adorable when you sleep, you know." He says. I blush, and he throws my phone to me.
"He's been calling nonstop." He says, disgusted. I take my phone. No fucking kidding. My phone was so blown up with his calls, there were seven pages of missed calls.

I gulp, but I put my phone down.
"You're not getting back together with him, right?" Ace asks meekly. I look at the floor. I shrug, and I hear his footsteps.
"Allie. Look at me." He instructs. I look at Ace's attractive face, and he takes my face in his hands.
"He's not worth it." He says. I still look at him. He leans in and kisses me, but I don't allow him entrance.
"C'mon, please." He whispers. I shake my head no, and he pulls away.
"Just tell me when you're ready." He whispers.

I don't think I'll ever be ready.
