Lucy's POV:

"What the actual hell is this?"

Andrea laughed as she took the packaged costume off the shelf. "It's a sexy Care Bear getup."

I made a face. Halloween costumes seemed to get more vulgar and disgusting each year. I mean, they had just taken my childhood, given it drugs, and put it on a Halloween shelf. Andrea couldn't stop laughing.

I rolled my eyes at her and shoved the costume between hangers filled with even more crude costumes. "Remember, we're here for something that's not to bulky and not to skimpy," I reminded her.

Andrea let out a huff and shifted the load of possible costume selections for her in her arms. Costumes ranging from scary to funny to sexy. She was way more so forgave in her own skin than I was. It took me forever just to find  clothes I liked from even my favorite stores.

I proceeded down the next row of costumes before spotting something furry. I immediately picked it up, prying that it would be something decent. I almost let out a tiny shriek when I looked at it. It was a purple unicorn onesie complete with a tiny snout and purple tail.

Oh my god it was perfect.

I ran back over to Andrea who was looking at a costume of a baseball player. I shoved it in her face, beaming. She looked at me and cracked a small smile. "This better be in your size because it's the only costume you've shown I streets in since we got here," she said.

I grinned and tucked it under my arm. Costume for the party? Check. Now I just need to help Andrea decide on one. There were about two days left until the party. I had waited until the last minute to go shopping for a costume, which isn't the smartest idea if you want a decent costume. There was almost nothing left in the store.

"Oh my god! This is amazing! I'm getting this one!" Andrea squealed as she pulled a black dress off the rack. I stared at it. "What is it?" I asked.

Andrea read the tag, "Breakfast at Tiffany's: Audrey Hepburn costume! This is awesome!" She gaped at the costume for a solid five minutes before I took it out of her hands to look at it. The costume was complete with a tiara, fake diamond necklaces and a cheap looking magician-styled pointer. A small style appeared on my face. This type of stuff was right up Andrea's alley. She loved anything vintage or retro and would always have a popular black and white film playing when I visited her house.

"Yeah, and with you brown hair and slim build, you'll look just like her in this outfit," I said, handing the costume back to Andrea. All she did was laugh.

-----

"Daaaaamn Lu you look amazing," Blake said, whistling appreciatively. I kicked him playfully.  The onesie u was wearing was super comfortable and soft. I had straightened my hair until it was stick straight and had just finished baking my face to cover up my scars. Blake thought I should have gone with no makeup but my insecurities got the best of me in the end.

"You look good too," I said as I looked at Blake up and down. He had chosen to wear a suit and a face mask with a skull on it. His costume reminded me of some sorry of sexy bank robber. He laughed and opened the car door for me and motioned me inside. I got in as he revved the engine and we took off toward Andrea's house. We had decided to pick her up and then got to the party as she had lost the price ledge of driving her car when report cards came home that week.
