There she was. Draco couldn't help but stare from his seat at the table in the library. She was just so beautiful, sat there, crouching over her potions homework with her tongue stuck out due to her level of concentration. He knew he shouldn't like her, but he found himself unable to stay away. His eyes darted down to his own potions homework when she looked up at him. Had she seen him staring? He felt his face and neck heat up as a blush crept over his skin.

"Man up Draco." He told himself, snatching up his homework and marching purposefully over to where she was sat. She didn't even look up when she addressed him.

"Hello Draco. Can I help you?" He instantly relaxed at the sound of her music-like voice.

"Um... I... Uh... Can..." Draco mentally yelled at himself. Smooth.

"You can join me if you'd like." This time she did look up. She smiled a smile so sweet that Draco had to hold onto the table so he didn't melt to the floor then and there.

"Um... Yeah... Th... Thanks." He sat down across from her as gracefully as he could manage in his nervous state. A moment of silence passed as she looked at her homework and he looked at her.

"I know that you were staring at me Draco." He jumped at the sound of her voice breaking the silence. Then he registered what she has said and he began to stutter incoherently.

"H... How?" He managed to choke out. He didn't deny it because if she knew, there really was no point in pretenses.

"Because I was staring back." She said it so matter-of-factly that Draco was taken aback.

"But why?" He was too shocked to even stutter.

"I like you Draco." She looked up at him and stared into his eyes with her own piercing ones. He figited under her gaze. Then she gathered her things and stood. "I'll see you here later?"

"Uh, yeah." He was utterly gobsmacked. She kissed his cheek then swiftly turned. Draco felt his cheeks burn red as he watched Luna Lovegood walk away from him.
