After eating lunch we went outside for a walk along the beach’s shore. I see a lot of people. Some of them are couples walking hand in hand, some kids playing, some lies in the sand.
“First, I just want to say sorry for last night.” I said
“No, it’s my fault I should be saying sorry. So I’m sorry.” She said “I wasn’t really that happy you know.”
“What are saying?”
“I wasn’t happy when we broke up, I cried every morning before going to school knowing I would see you. I acted though and happy but on the inside I was dying. Whenever I see you I put on a smile but on the inside I was breaking.”
“I…I didn’t know that.”
“I guess I’m such a good pretender after all.” She said with a small laugh.
I was speechless. I don’t know what to reply. So I just keep quiet.
There was an awkward silence but it was broken when
“LIAN!!!!!” someone shouted
We turn around to see who’s calling her.
“TYLER?!” she said.
I could tell she’s surprised.
“Yes! It’s me!” said Tyler.
“Oh my God! How are you?” she said. Then she hugged him. Wow! She must be really excited to see him.
“I’m good! How about you? Oh hey Tom.” He said finally noticing me.
“Hey!” I said coldly. I don’t know why but I don’t like this guy.
‘Maybe you’re just jealous’ said my subconscious.
“So you two got back together?” asked Tyler
“No” we both said in unison.
“We work together and we’re on a business trip.” She explained.
“OH! that’s cool!” he smiled broadly
I wonder which part is cool for him. Is it the part that we’re not together or we’re working together?
“How about you what are you doing here?” asked Lian
“Well, as you know my dad’s a business man, he owns some properties all around the Philippines and he gave me one of his resorts here to manage.”
“That’s great! Which one’s yours?” she asked
As you can see they are the only one who’s talking totally ignoring me. It’s kind of okay ‘cause I don’t have anything to say to Tyler. We’re not even friends.
“Boracay Regency Beach Resort. That’s why I knew you we’re here. I read your names on our records and since then I’ve been looking all over for you.” Tyler answered
“And you found me!” she said giving him a sweet smile.
Does she still like him? This green eyed monster inside me is stirring and about to wake up.
“Yes! I found you.” He said.
Then Tyler’s phone rang.
“Oh! Excuse me I need to take this. I’ll just see you around!”
With that he turned and leaves. Finally!
“Wow! That’s nice!” she suddenly said
“Which is nice? That you saw him? Or that he owns the resort we’re staying in?” I asked her
