Zadie
I jumped out of my sleep at the sound of my phone ringing. "Where is it?" I groaned throwing my sheets back. I found it under my pillow and quickly answered before I missed it.
"Hello?"
"Fool. Open the door."
"Rose really? Why didn't you call Julia or ring the doorbell?" I whined.
"We did. Are y'all seriously sleep?"
"Yes. It's 5 in the morning."
"Wrong. It's 12."
"Really?" I mumbled looking at my phone as I opens the front door.
"Uh yeah. Really." Rose mentioned as her and Erin entered my house.
"Hey girly." Erin chirped.
"Hey." I spoke groggily. "Let me go wake Julia."
"Okay, but can you stop walking like a zombie?" Rose added.
"Julia!" I exclaimed kicking her door open. She laid on her stomach hanging off the bed slightly.
"What?" She whined.
"Get up we have company." She jumped up.
"Is it Dee?"
"What? No. It's Erin and Rose."
"Oh. Fuck them hoes." She mumbled the last part laying back down. I snickered.
"We heard that!"
"I love you too!"
I shook my head and walked in the kitchen. It may be noon but I wanted orange juice and hash browns.
"So what's up?" I asked shaking up my orange juice.
"What's up?" Erin scoffed. "We made plans to hang out today."
"Really?" I asked furrowed my eyebrows.
"Uh yeah."
"Aw I'm sorry guys. I have to work today."
"Girl your an Über driver. I thought you can work anytime you want." Rose retorted.
"Yeah. I work when the money is low. Which is now." I shrugged.
Okay, quick clarification. I am not an über driver. Only because they don't hire minors or atleast I haven't tried to be one. I actually work at YMCA. I lied to this girls because they basically put me on the spot one day asking what does a 23 year old that's in school do? So I procrastinated and told them I was an über driver. Big deal, it's just a little white lie.
"I'm free though," Julia walked in the living room smiling.
"Oh. You want to hang out with us hoes?" Erin joked. Julia giggled.
"Yeah I mean, us hoes have to stick together."
"Nice."
"Y'all are a mess." I mumbled walking back to my room for my phone. I grabbed my phone off the charger noticing I had an text from an number that wasn't saved.
8004562378: Hey.
Me: Who's this?
This is weird. Mind you guys I'm a nobody. My phone is constantly dry. I get excited when I get a text from my mom. So an unknown number? That made me anxious.
