I'm watching you two from the closet

"A firetruck?" I murmured to myself as I let my left hand grab a bit of hair.
Maybe he's right.
Maybe it really looks ridiculous

I shook my head and let my hair fall naturally before I applied a little bit of foundation on my face to cover up some parts I wasn't really happy with.

It was 18:45 now and Bert was going to be here in 15 minutes so I'd have to get ready as fast as I could.
Easy right?

Of course not, because when I stood in front of my wardrobe I almost started to scream when I couldn't find something nice to wear.

What were we going to do? Still dinner? And if yes, then which type of restaurant were we going to? Would I need something fancy or woukd that be too overdressed?

After what felt like hours I finally pulled out a black button up shirt and a dark red jeans that kind of matched my hair.
I wasn't exactly happy with what I was wearing but before I could change my mind again I heard my doorbell ring.
I skipped down the hallway, trying not to ruin my hair and opened the door with a small smile on my face.

The first thing I saw was white and only after I blinked several times I saw that it was a flower, Bert was holding in front of him.

"Good evening Mr. Way. Are you ready to go?", Bert asked and winked at me as he held the flower for me to take it
"O-Of course wait... that's for me?", I waited for Bert to nod before I took the flower, "T-Thank you so much. Wait I'll just leave it in a cup of water until we come back. Please wait a minute"

I ran inside and put the flower in a water cup before I skipped back and closed the door behind me
Now I had the opportunity to actually look at my date

Bert wore a pair of black jeans with a white belt and a white shirt that was actually pretty tight and I couldn't help but stare for a moment.

"We should go now I reserved our table for 19:15 so we should get going", Bert said and Walked down the stairs to his car when I nodded.

I followed him and slipped into the passenger seat of his car and put on the seat belt.
"Where are we going anyways?", I asked curious and hoped that Bert couldn't see my excited movements
"Oh just you wait", he said and turned the keys around to start the engine so I decided not to ask any further and follow Berts advice to just wait

I had my face pressed against the car window as Bert stopped the car in front of an expensive looking restaurant I've never heard of.

A big sign above the entrance had "Royalty" written on it in neon letters that were glowing softly in the dark.

"Royalty?", I whispered to myself and I had to admit that I was fucking impressed.

The restaurant had a big blue carpet in front of the entrance and two exotic looking bushes on either side of the glass door.
If you looked through the big windows facing the street you could see lots of big tables with dark blue chairs that looked really confortable and a few people sitting around in their evening dresses and fancy suits.

Wow... I felt really underdressed

"I think I put on the wrong clothes for this...", I said with a worried look as Bert led me to the entrance

"Oh no don't worry Gee. You look perfect tonight", he told me and sent a comforting smile in my direction that instantly calmed me down a bit and made me blush at the same time

I kept my mouth shut, not wanting to interrupt Bert as he was talking to an old man in a suit and glasses who was shortly after pointing at and empty table in a separate booth
