-=Charlie's POV=-"About time Benny, my clothes are going out of style!" Squints shouts, trying to be funny.
"They already are, Squints!" I call out to him. He looks my way.
"Shut up!" He says. I laugh and stand outside of the dugout, leaning against the wooden pole with my arms crossed. I stay like that for about 1 minute, and the game still hasn't started, so I look across at Benny to tell him what's keeping us up, to find him staring at me already. I smirk, and he smirks back too. I roll my eyes and look away.
"Smalls, throw it to second!" I hear Benny shout.
"Okay!" Smalls shouts back. All the boys groan.
"Ugh, not again!"
"We're wasting time, Benny!"
I turn my head to look at Benny again, just in time to see him hit the ball over to Smalls. Smalls holds his glove in the air and closes his eyes. What the hell?! Why's he closed his eyes?!
To my shock, and all the boys too, the ball lands perfectly in Smalls' glove.
"Yeah!" I shout, running over to Benny. I lean on him, my elbow on his shoulder.
"Alright!" Benny shouts, smiling down at me, his eyes flicking to my lips. I give a look of confusion, and Benny seems to know I spotted him, because he spins his head round and gives Smalls a thumbs up. I smile at the ground, a strange feeling in my stomach.
