Charlie"What were you thinking, Squints?! You could have died, for crying out loud! And for what? Just so you could kiss Wendy? A girl completely out of your league? You're 12!"
Squints just stares at me for a moment, a scowl on his stupid little face, thinking of something to say to me.
"Well then why did she just kiss me?" He spits, laughing afterwards.
"Because you forced her to? Are you seriously that dumb?" I remark. Does he genuinely think Wendy wanted to kiss him?
"Whatever, Charlie. It was only a bit of fun! And besides, Wendy's gonna be my wife someday anyway!" Squints declared, smiling dreamily. He does that quite a lot.
I looked around to find the boys all ready grabbing their clothes and running off, only just realising now that me and Squints were still very close to fence that surrounded the pool, which at the moment had people clinging onto it, watching us. Laughing nervously, I grabbed Squints hand and took him to where our clothes were lying on the floor, and after grabbing our stuff we dashed off to the rest of the gang.
"Hey!" Ham shouts, handing Squints his glasses. "Did you plan that!?" He squeaks, not believing Squints would pull something like that out of the blue.
"Course I did." Squints clarifies smugly. "I been planning in for years." He smirks.
Hams mouth falls wide open at Squints' words, and he runs off yelling " You guys! He planned that! Squints planned that!"
Laughing to myself quietly, I walk walk over to Benjamin, smiling at him brightly.
"Hi Benny." I grin looking up at his tanned skin, admiring his soft hazel eyes. "Y'know, if you'd stop being so hot you could end the suffering of all your friends." I smirked slyly.
Blushing furiously, Benny mumbled "Yeah good one Charlie, good one." He turns his head to look somewhere else other than me, most likely to cover his blush up, but I gently take ahold of his jaw and make him look at me again.
"I really want an ice-cream right now. Please can we go get ice-cream? Please?" I whine, pouting slightly. I give him my best puppy eyes, knowing that Benny can't say no to me when I do them.
His eyes flicker down to my lips for a fraction of a second, before he finally gives in and groans "Fine. Who else wants ice-cream?"
All of the boys turn around and yell,
"Heck yeah!!" Before running off to the ice cream stand that stood next to Vincent's Drug store.
"Shit!" I yell, making Benny jump out of his skin.
"What?!" He cries worriedly, looking around frantically for any signs of danger.
"Nothing, nothing. I just forgot my money." I grumbled. "So y'know, I can't buy an ice-cream."
Smirking slightly Benny takes 50 cent out of his pocket. Just enough for one ice cream.
"Don't worry, Char. We can share." He winks.
