Spencer's POV:
The moment I woke up I immediately checked on JJ, who fell asleep on the couch in the living room, to see that she was okay. Her golden hair roughly covered half of her face and clutched to her chest was a picture frame that I didn't recognize.
After peeking my head into Henry's room to make sure he was alright, I called my mom.
"Hey Mom," I whispered as I shut the spare bedroom door to ensure I didn't wake them up.
"Spencer, you know I hate talking on the phone. Why don't you write to me as much as you used to?" She sounded irritable.
"Well, I've been really busy with the team and new cases. I-I'm sorry." I took a big gulp and continued, "Mom, where does my father live? I, uh, was thinking about visiting him today..."
I took a seat on the bed and dug through the duffel bag I packed until I found the liquid narcotic that was hidden away in one of my socks.
"I haven't told you already?"
"No, you haven't," I said distantly.
"Oh, I'm not exactly sure, when he transferred me to this hospital for crazies he told me he lives in Manasses, Virginia." Her voice seemed tired so I tried to hurry up and finish the conversation.
"Think, Mom. Did he say anything else that you might remember?"
"No, Spencer, he only told me he lives in an apartment and I don't remember the rest," she snapped.
"Okay, okay, I'll find him. I'll try and write to you soon... I love you."
"I love you too," she said and hung up as I set my phone on the nightstand beside the bed.
After holding the drug in my hand for a moment or two, I dropped it back into my bag and told myself I would not relapse as long as I was staying with JJ and Henry.
Being drugged up wouldn't help her, or Henry, feel safe, whatsoever.
After checking my phone to see it was 9 a.m, I gathered myself and headed downstairs to wake JJ, tell her I was heading into the BAU to talk to Hotch.
I didn't want to wake her, she looked peaceful, undisturbed...beautiful in every way. I shook the thoughts away and gently rocked her shoulder until she woke up.
She quickly snapped awake and was ready to throw a punch but I quickly told her it was just me.
"Oh, I'm sorry Spence. I just-"
"It's okay," I laughed at her groggy voice and alert eyes. "I'm heading into the BAU to talk to Hotch. Will you guys be okay?"
She sat up, rubbed her eyes and said, "Yeah, I think we'll be okay for a few hours."
"I, um, I think I might be gone a little longer than a few hours. I really need to go visit someone..."
"Oh," she sighed, "I guess we'll be okay. Just make sure you come back instead of passing out in your car."
I playfully shoved her shoulder and stood up. "I'll be back around three o'clock, if my math is correct."
"Your math is alway correct."
"Well, my calculations say you should go take a shower," I nodded my head when I noticed she was wearing the same clothes as yesterday which made her laugh.
She stood up, gave me a quick hug and told me to be safe as I walked through the front door.
"You too."
Once I jumped into my car, I quickly called Garcia.
"Hello Boy Wonder, what do you want," she said groggily, moodily.
"Hey, sorry if I woke you up but I was just wondering if you could look up an address for me."
"You know I can do almost anything, let me go get my computer," she groaned.
After a minute she was back on the phone, asked for a name.
"William Reid, he lives in Virginia. I don't know his address, though."
"Got him. He lives at Glen Ridge Commons, apartment six. Is he related to you?"
"Thanks Garcia. I have to go." I hung up and headed for the BAU where Hotch waited for me.

When I arrived, I parked in my normal parking spot and went inside. Hotch was in his office so, after grabbing a cup of coffee, I walked in and sat down in front of his desk.
"You wanted to see me?" I said and took a sip of my bitter coffee.
"Where were you after the chase with Will?" His eyes never left his computer and his monotone voice was still as sincere as ever.
"I fell asleep."
"In your car?"
"Yes."
"Spencer, why did you just randomly fall asleep in your car, not returning to your job, and not even giving us a clue as to where you were?" he said, his somber eyes finally meeting mine and his voice sounding concerned.
"I haven't been sleeping well, and the chase from Will just made me...exhausted," I said and gave a half-hearted laugh.
"If you ever want to come up with a better answer, you know where to find me."
His eyes went back to his work and I leaned back in the chair. I wasn't lying, really, but I was leaving a few details out. He didn't ask about drugs or anything so I wasn't lying, technically.
"What else do you need to ask me?" I asked and he looked up.
"I need every detail about what happened with JJ's husband. I need you to write down his actions, everything he said and his behavior," he spoke as he pushed a pad of paper and pen in my direction. I set my untouched coffee down and picked up the pen.
