Chapter 5- First Battle Has Begun

Chapter Five-

Commander Alpha's pov-

I left for lunch shortly after the conch shell was sounded.
The rest of my legions joined us at lunch as I was playing with my food.

"Yo! Commander, the best legion has made an entrance!" Blondie legion 4's leader announced.

"Really? I didn't see Stripe walk in yet. Are you sure the best legion showed up yet?" I say with complete seriously in my voice making the others laugh and Blondie pout.

She walked over and sat next to me on the top of the wall.

"Why are you up there?" She asked.

"I don't want to sit at my fathers table. He's such a jerk" I stated, making everyone gasp.

"What?"

"He'll zap you to pieces!" Jason Grace said shell shocked.

"No, I'm sorry. Your father took care of that for him" I muttered. Apparently he heard me. Dang it.

"What?!" He croaked.

"Nothing, are you hearing things?" I asked oblivious to how I knew what I said.

"Alright Commander. We're going to be talking together after this" He said.

"Okay Grace"

"Did you just call me Grace?"

"Yes" I said. "Where do you want to talk?"

"How about Thalia's Pine. I suppose you know where that is, right?" Jason sighed.

"Of course" I muttered eyeing my soggy turkey sandwich, for I had just seen Annabeth and Leo kissing near the lake... again. I felt my throat close up and tears prickle at my eyes. Gods, I'm so emotional nowadays here.

"You okay?" Jason asked clearly concerned.

"No" I sobbed quietly, flashing out.

Jason's pov-

I know better from seeing his message with the strange girl last night to know his ex girlfriend, whom he's still madly in love with, and is still obviously going here with another boy.

"Hazel, have you noticed how emotional Commander is?"

"Yeah, I wonder why"

"Well, he never wanted to come here for his ex who had cheated on him, lives here" Dove a girl from legion 2 said, as she was sliding in the seat with Explo right next to us.

"Who's his ex?" I asked.

"We don't know. Even we don't know who Commander is. We don't know who anyone outside our legion is" Explo said frowning.

"Oh, can you say who you two are?" Hazel asked.

"Hmm, later" Dove said mysteriously. Then we heard deafening 'ROAR'. The roar of a giant.

Commanders Alpha's pov-

"I SMELL PERSUES JACKSON" He roared. Really, now? Ugh, whatever.

"Uh, who?" I asked plainly. I'm not letting this guy ruin my identity. The troops would find out if he keeps yelling that, so it's time to kill I guess.

Wait... what's that behind him? "LEGION'S GET READY FOR BATTLE! MONSTER'S AND GIANT'S HAVE SHOWN UP"

I watch as the army quickly line in their rows, and starting to strategize.

"LEGION 1, TAKE THE MIDDLE, LEGION 2 TAKE LEFT FLANK, 3 GETS RIGHT FLANK. LEGION 4 HELP OUT LEGION 2 AND 3. LEGION 5 HELP LEGION LEGION 1. FILL OUT!" I command.

I then charge into the battle, I get into a fight with a giant, I didn't look to closely at him though. I don't need to know who he is for the fight.

"You think you can defeat me? Think again!" The giant hissed at me.

"Well yeah, I was planning to" I retorted back. It just smirked, like he knew I was the one who was going to die.

"Sure thing, King"

I swiped at its feet, as it jumped, I saw it look at my hood, probably wondering why I was wearing it.

"Why're you wearing a hood? To scared to show your face? Or are you just to... ugly?" He said it as if it would make me show my face. Yeah, right. And guess what? I was right, he was looking at it!

I chuckled at his thought, "No way loser"

We parried, me getting the upper hand at times, other times I was the one getting beat. I swiped at his feet again, as he dodged it, I kicked him on his chest. He fell, obviously not too hurt, but enough for me. I pinned him down, ready for the kill.

"Like I said, I planned to kill you. And my plans always work" I whispered in his ear. It looked as if he were about to faint. I beheaded him, as it turned to dust, I saw what a small battle this was. It was just a small invasion, obviously just the beginning of a war.
