Kora POV
I couldn't believe what was happening to me. my life was already bad enough and now I have this to add to it? Not to mention the fact that I have no say over this. If only I was 18. I'd be looking for a college far, far away from here and working on normal things like searching for scholarships and working on how to handle my student loans.

How could my own mother send me away like that? To some unknown world that I don't even know about. I'm so angry I just want to scream!

"How could she!" I yelled aloud in frustration.

This can't be happening to me. I take a breath and head to my bed, taking my mother's advice. "Maybe a little nap will help me sort things better." I think, and I'm off to sleep.

When I wake up, I hope everything that happened the night before was just a big nightmare and everything is normal. Well, as normal as things can get. I rolled out of the warm softness of my covers and slipped into my soft slippers and sleepily shuffled towards the stairs.

I instantly stopped at the bottom of my stairs when I saw Ashton sitting there all warm and cozy on my couch and an annoyed mom sitting across from him. The second he spotted me, he let that huge grin spread through his face and said, "hello Kora, nice sleep?"

In my pure surprise, I just stared at him for a few minutes, and then asked him why he was still here. He looked a little hurt but that look was off his face almost as soon as it got there.

"We were just, discussing, about the arrangement we set for you," my mom started.
"Since you were expelled from school, I figured this would be a great time as any for you to start going to school in Nebraska."

"What? Mom, I told you, I can't..."

"You can, and you will." I was cut off by my mother.

"Look, Kora, I can see that you're upset about this, but you have to realize that I will be better than you think. You will be in a better position then you are here, I promise." Ashton said.

"When are you planning on taking me?" I asked, hopping they wouldn't say anytime soon.

"Hopefully as soon as we can," my mom answered.

I looked at her shocked. How could she do this to me. What in the world have I done to her to cause her to do this?

"Mom, I... can't, I have Cece, and you know how she'll get if I leave her without a good bye."

"Fine, then just call her. That shouldn't be too hard. Say you're goodbye and then that will be done."

"But, I can't, I need to say it personally. She's very complicated. Which reminds me, can I use your car? You know, to go see her. We have a movie planned."

"You got money for your movie?" I nodded eagerly and she gave me the keys.

"Really, just like that?" I heard Ashton say as I walked away.
