JACK

I kissed Alex. It didn't mean anything, though. Alex has that bitch, Tay, and I could get any girl if I wanted. Problem is, I don't think I wanted any girl. I think I wanted Alex. Alex has been my best friend for years and I know I love him like a friend, but am I in love with him? Before I could think of it, I heard yelling.

Rian and Vinny helped me up after Tay had ruined my perfect moment with Alex. Tay wasn't your average girlfriend. She was in a band. Emphasis on 'was', because her band got sick of her attitude - and I don't blame them - so they kicked her out at the beginning of Warped. Which meant that she was living with us, or if she wasn't in our bus, she was in someone else's.

She really liked staying on The Ready Set's bus, which wasn't that weird. Jordan was a cool dude. Although, she and him did seem more than just friends. I didn't ever question it, though, because I couldn't tell Alex if I didn't have proof and she was known as being a slut before she met Alex.

I heard Alex make some snappy comment at Tay about faking his sex noises with her and I couldn't help but laugh. Everyone did know he faked them for her, except her, obviously. I knew he didn't fake with me, which made me proud of myself.

I heard some shuffling and then Alex said something about them hanging out more. I scoffed at the idea. I wanted Alex to be happy, but Tay didn't make him happy anymore.

Sure, he smiled and laughed and kissed her, but I felt like he only did it now just so he wouldn't lose something that once meant everything to him. I remember the day that they met. Zack set them up, which always makes me chuckle, because Zack doesn't seem like the match maker kind of guy.

We were all in the 22-23 age area and out for some drinks at a local bar in wherever we were.

"Yo, Alex, I met this girl and she's awesome. You should go talk to her. She's in a band called We Are the In Crowd. They just finished a tour and I think they're really big around this part of the states. Go talk to her!" Zack said to the already walking Alex. Alex had taken my beer to give to the mystery girl. Alex didn't even know her name.

I watched from across the bar as he and the girl hit it off great. She was pretty hot, I would admit. She had long, brown hair and a straight, white smile. She was shorter than Alex and I could hear her laugh in the small bar and it reminded me of the laugh little kid's have when they get tickled. She seemed perfect for Alex.

After a couple more drinks, Alex finally brought the girl over. Alex was my best friend and we did everything together, so I was a little sad that he found someone better, but I figured it would be fine. I had Rian and Zack, plus Alex doesn't change for girls. I knew him too well to know that he would change himself for some girl he met in a bar.

"Guys, this is Tay. Tay, these are the guys." Alex said, pointing between us. We all did introductions and talked a bit more before we checked the time.

"Lex, we gotta be in the next city in a few hours." Rian hinted, saying that we needed to leave.

It was awesome seeing Alex so happy around someone, since just a few months ago he broke up with a girl he had been with since sophomore year. They were the "it" couple, but she didn't want him to tour and he said no. Touring and the band are Alex's life and that is always first, even before love. Touring has its perks, but also it's pitfalls.

Alex and Tay exchanged numbers and after a long hug and a quick kiss on the cheek, they seperated.

Those were the good days. But now, it seemed like Alex knew what she did behind his back and didn't want any of it. I figured he would leave her, dump her, break her heart. It was Alex, though, and he wouldn't give up. I knew he wouldn't.

Tay walked past my bunk, giving me a glare, before wrapping her arms around Alex's neck and kissing him so hard, I'm surprised he didn't stop breathing.

"I'll see you after your show." She said to him with a wink and smirk before strutting off the bus.

"Jack." Alex mumbled to me. He knew I thought he would let her go. Let her go for me. But I was thinking selfishly and just shrugged at him. Alex wasn't mine. I can't complain about not having something when I won't ever have it. He is my best friend and that's all I could ask for and more.

"I don't care, Alex," I said with a chuckle as I wrapped my arm around his shoulders. "Just make sure that bitch doesn't kill me."

He grinned at me before running off the bus. "First person to the stage gets a free Monster!" Alex yelled. I laughed and chased after him.

Maybe I was in love with him.

I figured we needed Jack's pov soon so here it is! This is sort of a filler chapter, but not really. I'm just doing this chapter so you can get a better grasp on Tay and Alex. The next couple chapters will be Jalex tho c;
