Chapter 4 - Beth

I put the popcorn in the microwave and set it for a few minutes. "What's up?" my dad said walking into the kitchen and opening the refrigerator. "Jack and Finn are coming over" I said and he grabbed a can of coke and looked at me, then at the coke. "Keep it down and have fun!" he said opening the coke and taking a sip then walking out. 

I lifted myself up on the counter and sat down next to the microwave. I started to hear the pops of the popcorn and I let out a sigh. "Holly Eden James get off the counter now!" my mother almost shouted and I instantly rolled my eyes and hoped off. "I'm sorry" I sighed and looked at the microwave as the pops continued. "Why are you popping popcorn this late?" she asked and I turned and looked at her "Jack and Finn are coming over". She nodded "Just keep it down, got it?" she said and I nodded "Will do!" I said tuning back around to popcorn.

The pops were a few seconds apart so I took it out, then I heard the sound of her slippers leave the room. I smiled a little as I opened the bag and poured it into the bowl I pulled out earlier. Then I heard the doorbell ring, along with singing and banging. I laughed a little and walked to the door. "Who is it?" I called out "Open the door!" I heard one of them yell. "Who is open the door?" I joked "PLEASEEEE?" they both said and I opened the door.

They both ran in hugging themselves making me laugh. I walked over to shut the door and found the storm was over but it left it practically freezing and soaking wet. I shut the door and look at the two still in their coats. "Quit acting like babies" I say and they both look at each other then at me. Jack dashed for me and I jumped out of the way making him run into the door. Then I felt arms wrap around me and pick me up making me shirk.

I watched Jack open the door while rubbing his shoulder. "NO!" I shouted "PUT ME DOWN!" and all Finn did was laugh. He took a step outside and I started laughing and screaming "PLEASE!" I shouted holding onto him. Then he walked back into the house and placed me on feet. I waited for the door to be shut before u turned and looked at both so them "Assholes". Jack jumped at me and I flinched making them laugh.

"I hate you both" I said walking away into the kitchen. "Love you too!" Jack said while they both followed me. "Here" I said handing Finn the bowl of popcorn and I looked up at him "Are you mad at us?” i shook my head "No. Or at least I won't be when we watch the movie I want to!" I said slapping his chest and walking past them both into the living room. "What movie is that?" they both asked and I pulled out my favorite romantic comedy Love Actually just to bother them.

They both groaned sitting on the couch as I put the DVD in. I walked over and sat on the couch between them as the movie started. They both then proceeded to pull out their phones "Really?" I asked looking at both of them. Finn put his phone away but Jack shrugged me off. I reached over and snatched his phone away and let out a sigh. "I don't want to watch this!" he complained like a child and I shrugged "Too bad". He let a loud sigh and sat back and started to watch the movie.

About half way through the movie Jack had fallen asleep, of course. Finn was kept dazing off but waking back up. I knew this because somehow my head ending up on his shoulder. So every time he would jump it would knock me off. "How are you enjoying the movie?" I asked with my head on his shoulder and my eyes closed. "It's horrible" he said deeply chuckling afterwards "I know" I mumbled. "Can we go home now?" he asked and I sat up and stretched my arms over my head "You can just crash here" I offered and Finn nodded with his eyes closed.

I stood up and walked over to the chest in the corner of the room. I pulled out some blankets and pillows and tossed them at Finn. "You might want to tell him" I said looking over at Jack and Finn reached over and smacked his arm making him jump up. "We're staying the night so get on the floor" Finn mumbled and shoved Jack on the floor, he didn't complain. 

I pulled out Jacks phone and sat it next to him and turned to walk out of the room. "Oh no you don't" Finn said yawning. I turned around only to find Finn wrapping his arms around me "Finn I’m too tired for this" I groaned. He practically carried me back over to the couch "Whyyyyyy" I wined and he laughed "The movie is still going" he said and I rolled my eyes. He sat me down and put his arm around my shoulders and held me close. I pulled my legs up onto the couch and pulled the blanket over me.

In all honestly I didn't mind being this close to Finn, it was nice. "You know, I still might go to sleep" I said resting my head on his shoulder "You know, I wouldn't mind". I laughed and looked up at him "What's that supposed to mean?" I asked jokingly he let out a serious sigh "Look Holly I-" then there was a knock on the door. "Hold that thought" I said moving his arm away from me and getting off the couch. I walked over to the door and opened it and was shocked by what I saw.

"BETH?" I almost shouted with my scratchy voice "Holly?" she said obviously confused. I engulfed her in a hug and I could tell she was a bit taken back by it "Come in! How have you been?" I asked. "Um good, when did you get back?" she asked stepping into the house and I laughed a little "Yesterday actually!" and she nodded "That's good to hear!” "Hey Beth" I heard Finn say behind me and I turned around to see him walking past me and he hugged Beth. He pulled away from the hug and she pulled him down for a kiss.

Finn pulled away from the kiss and looked at me. "So you two are, together?" I asked and Beth nodded. I looked up at Finn he was smiling "Yep".
