I Friend Zoned Finn Harries

Chapter 11 - Friends.

I knocked on the Harries door and let out a loud sigh shoving my hands into my coat pockets. Today was such a nice day outside unlike the rest. It wasn't cold and gloomy anymore, the sun was out and it was warming up. The sky was blue and no clouds were in sight along with the trees that were looking more alive.

"Holly?" I turned to see Mrs. Harries and I smiled "Hello Mrs. Harries! I came over to apologize for my behavior last night" I said and half smiled. "Darling we all have our moments" she said and I nodded "So we're okay?" I asked and she nodded "As long as you call me Rebecca". I nodded "Of course, Rebecca" I said and she nodded happily stepping to the side "The boys are up in their room" I gave her small thankful nodded before I walked in heading up the stairs.

I made it to their doors and I went into Jacks first and I walked in to see him already up doing his hair. "Well if it isn't the tornado herself" he said with a smile and I rushed in smacking his arm "Shut up" I mumbled. I walked over and sat on his bed and fiddled with the light sheet that was on top. "You know I’m kidding" he said walking over and sitting next to me "You cracked, it happens to the best of us".

I elbowed in his arm "Thanks" I mumbled and he wrapped his arm around my shoulders pressing us together. "Anytime" he said then pushed me away making me laugh "Now get out of my room". I rolled my eyes "Bye Jackson" I said he laughed "Get the fuck out" he said tossing a shirt at me. I ran out shutting the door behind me then walking over to Finns room. 

I knocked on the door and the door almost automatically opened. He still had his pajamas on and his hair was a mess. "Hey" his finally said with a big smile and I smiled back "Hey". He moved to the side letting me walk in and I sat down on his unmade bed. "What brings you here" he said looking at the clock "It's not past noon" he said with a smile. 

I smacked his arm making us both laugh then he grabbed my hand. The feeling of his skin pressed to mine made my brain go numb and my hand feel light as a feather. I stopped laughing and looked down at our hands then back at him "Sorry" he said letting go. I reached over grabbing his hand and holding it with both of mine "Don't be" I said. I watched him bite his lip and then it happened again, he started leaning in.

But this time I didn't question it, I closed my eyes and started moving in too. "Finn?" we heard on the other side of the door making us both stop dead in our tracks. "Shit" he said hanging his head low and moving his hands away from mine.

"Come in!" he called out and the door opened and in walked Beth. "What's going on in here?" she asked walking in and standing in front of us and I looked at Finn. I could tell by the look on his face that he was conflicted whether he wanted to tell her right now. So I looked at Beth and smiled "Nothing. Nothing at all" I said standing up "I'm going to leave you two alone for a while and talk to Jack!" I sighed walking out of the room.

But right as I shut the door it opened up and Beth walked out shutting it behind her. "Look here" she started and right then I wanted to strangle her. "Finn is my boyfriend" she said and I nodded "I know" and she dug her manicured nail into my chest "He loves me, not you". I rolled my eyes taking her hand and yanking it off me.

"If I wanted Finn I could have had him by now, so back off" I said and her she got furious "Don't think so highly of yourself". I laughed in her face "I think your forgetting who he liked first" I said with a smile and her face turned a shade of red. "And who was his second pick" I said and the door wrong open "That's enough Holly" Finn said. 

"Did you hear what she said to me?" Beth said and he sighed "Yea I did". Then Beth let out a small fake sob and I looked at Finn "Why" he mouthed and I just looked away. She walked right up to him and he opened his arms for her. I swear my jaw dropped so far it the floor "Finn what the fuck" I said and he didn't look at me.

Then Jack came out of his room and looked at the three of us "Did you finally hit her?" he asked and smacked his chest "No you idiot". "She might as well have" Beth said and I rolled my eyes again "I'm done" I said truing towards the stairs. I walked down the stairs and out the door and again someone followed me out, it was Finn.

"Wait" he said grabbing my arm and I yanked it out of his hand. "Don't" I said trying to walk away "I'm sorry I care about her, alright" he said and I rolled my eyes "I don't care". I turned around to face him and he looked mad to say the least.

"She was here for me when you left" He said and I shrugged "What do you want me to do? Thank her for taking something I didn't want?" I asked and he shrugged "No. Forget it." he said and I sighed "I didn't mean that, well I did for that time frame. Finn." I said giving up and walking over to him. "Just stop" he said and I reached out for his hand and pulled it away.

"I think" he started chewing on his bottom lip before releasing it. His green eyes looked everywhere but into my eyes "We are just better off as friends" he said finally connecting our eyes. "You sure" I asked obviously angry and he nodded "Yea" he replied crossing his arms. "Fine then. Friends." I said looking at the ground like it was the most interesting thing ever "Friends". 

I looked up and pointed towards my house "I um have to go cleanup" I said trying not show the pain I felt. "And I have to go check on B-" "Alright bye" I said cutting him off and I started fast walking down the street back to my house. I walked in and shut the door a bit too hard behind me and I heard my mother shout something I couldn't make out. 

"Sorry" I said back walking into the kitchen seeing my parents sitting down and talking. "You alright honey?" she asked and I looked at her confused before I nodded "Yea. I'm good" I said trying to walk past them "What's wrong?" she demanded and I let out a loud sigh. "It's nothing, trust me" I said walking past them going up to my room.
