"Alright guys, let's kick this gym off our list then continue onward." Joshua stated. He had checked out the weird item that was dropped yesterday, discovering that it could be used to see ghost's for what they actually were. Joshua decided to head back to Lavender after this, then hit the Gym in Saffron city.

Getting to the gym was Easy, all he had to do was slice a tree down and move on. when he got to the entrance of the gym, he found this really creepy looking guy starring inside, saying the gym was full of women.

He stepped inside, and he noted the old creeper outside was right. he also noted that the place looked more like a garden than a gym. He pieced together what Gym type this was, and he figured this would be an easy win, seeing as he now had a fire and flying type.

Battling some of the trainers in there was as easy as he thought, using Inferno to fry the grass types. the only annoying part is when they got a poison powder or stun spore off. But Joshua had restocked on everything, not wanting to be in the same situation he was in the day before.

He finally made it to the gym Leader, Erika, who greeted him.

"Hello... Lovely weather, isn't it?" She greeted, Joshua just wanting to get this battle going. He figured that the leaders had been training this speech though, so he didn't hurry it up.

"It's so pleasant... Oh...dear... I must have dozed off. Welcome. My name is Erika. I am the leader of the Celadon Gym. I am a student of the art of flower arranging. My pokemon are solely of the Grass type." She continued, Joshua getting just a little bored now.

"...Oh, I'm sorry, I had no idea that you wished to challenge me. Very well, but I Shall not lose." she (finally) finished, starting the battle.

"Victreebel, go." She said, sending out her first pokemon. Joshua recognized the look, knowing that he would soon have one. "Inferno, let's light 'em up!" he said, sending out his Charizard. seeing this, Erika knew she was in trouble. it was about a month ago when another trainer came in with a charizard, though it looked much stronger than this one. her guess is that this pokemon just evolved.

"Stun spore!" she called out, Joshua worried this would go wrong right away.

"Inferno, use your wings to blow the spores away!" Inferno did, scattering the spores everywhere else. "Flamethrower, go!" and Inferno shot out a hot flame, scorching the grass type, taking it down.

Erika, not wanting to give up, sent out Tangela, but it was met with the same fate.

"Ok, Vileplume, you're up." Erika said, sending her last pokemon. This caused Joshua and Inferno to gag, smelling an overwhelming scent.

"Oh, I see how this is." Joshua muttered, waving the air around him to ward off the smell. "Inferno, flap your wings, clear the air!" Joshua shouted, Inferno catching on. "Flamethrower!" Joshua yelled, wanting this fight to be over. Inferno shot out another jet of fire, cooking the leaders last pokemon. It was over. Joshua felt it was a little to easy, but didn't complain. he was on a deadline.

I'm half way there, just four badges to go. and I still have three months to do so." he stated confidently, knowing he just might make it.

Walking towards the path he took from Lavender town, he stopped, calling out his Pikachu.

"I almost forgot, here." He said, giving his Pikachu the thunder stone. Pikachu took the stone and started to glow, getting a bit bigger, it's tail becoming thin with a lightning bolt on the back. When he stopped glowing, he was a Raichu, and he learned a new move. Thunderbolt. Joshua had a feeling they might need that extra muscle.
