After we ate we decided to find somewhere to sleep for the night. Most of the rooms were blown to bits but we finally found one that was still standing. The room only had one bed and a little toilet in a separate little room.

"You take the bed." Newt said.

I shook my head, "No you can."

He laughed and started gently pushing me until I landed on the bed.

"See you touched the bed last you take it." He said with a smile on his face.

I squinted my eyes at him and pulled him down so he was on top of me, his hands on either side of my head so he doesn't squish me.

"Ha! You're touching the bed!" I laughed.

"Well you touched it first!" He said, sticking his tongue out at me.

"Fine. How about we share it?" I suggested.

His faced turned a bright red, "But... but you're a girl."

I laughed, "And you're a boy. Congrats you know how to identify genders."

He playfully smacked my arm. "Shut up you know what I meant."

"No I don't, please explain." I smiled.

His faced turned red again, "Well like.. um," he scratched his neck, "Well you see.. um"

I laughed, "I was joking. I know what you meant. And if you don't feel comfortable sleeping in the same bed as me I'll sleep on the floor."

"No I'll sleep on the floor." He instead.

"Nope." I scooted from under him and landed on the floor. "You are the last one on the bed. You get it."

He glared at me, "Fine."

I smiled in triumph. "Good. Now give me a pillow and blanket please."

He threw them down, right on top of me.

"Rude!" I said and put the pillow and blanket down. I laid down and closed my eyes.

"Night Newt." I said.

"Good night Echo." He replied sleepily.

    .....

I woke up to a loud boom echoing through the air. I sat straight up and noticed I was in the bed. I looked around and Newt was no where to be found. I grabbed my knife and stood up.

"Newt?" I called out. No answer.

I started to panic. Where was? Maybe he was just in the bathroom, or getting something to eat? I stepped out of the room and kept calling his name but still no answer. I was running now, panic coursing through my veins. Where was he? Did he leave me? Where did he go? What happened? What was that big boom earlier?

I turned the corner and stopped dead in my tracks. A person was standing at the end of the broken hallway.

"Newt?" I asked cautiously. I couldn't see their face, it was shaded in the darkness.

"Newt is that you?" I asked a little louder.

"Go away. No one wants you, you crank." It sounded like Newt, or was my mind playing tricks on me?

"Step out of the darkness." I demanded, gripping my knife. They did as I asked and stepped out into the lighting coming from a hole in the ceiling. It was the Minho boy.

"He doesn't need you messing up his life more than it already is." He spat.

"I... I don't understand." I stuttered, "He wanted me to come, he saved me, he kissed me." I said the last part quietly.
