After a few moments of stunned silence, Juliet was the first one to react.
"Ow! Daniel you absolute twit, you've banged your blasted chair on my foot," she complained, pulling a meaningful glare at all of us.
“Err- Sorry?”
"You've hit my foot you idiot!" Juliet repeated through gritted teeth, frustrated that we didn't get her message.
“You hit her foot genius!” I growled in fake anger, after having catched sight of Cordelia's bag on one of the chairs.

That noise came from under the table,” I whispered to Daniel as I came at a stop next to him to better hide Cordelia's presence.
She must be hiding from joker and his goons.” I was so close to Daniel that our shoulders almost touched until he finally understood what was  going on.
“Oh, yes...I’m terribly sorry Juliet! Aberforth go get a prefect, or better yet a teacher.” Said Daniel whilst turning around to our blond haired companion, all the while trying not to touch the chair that he had bulled back earlier.
“If you could get Yaxley, you know the Slytherin prefect that would be even better.” I said loud enough for Malcolm Wingate and his goons- who were still trying to talk with Juliet, to overhear us.
Aberforth gave me an understanding look, followed by a loud “ right, I’m getting the Slytherin prefect right away!” and hastily left the library.

Let's just hope that this little bluff will scare them off, otherwise we might really have to get Julius…

“Listen here you little punks,” Malcolm whisper-yelled to us in an arrogant, and slightly annoyed tone.
"You can't just waltz in here and interrupted our damn conversation! And damn it turn the fuck around when elders are talking to you! I know that blondie over there knows the little bitch that I’m looking for! So either she starts talking or I-”
“Or you what?” I asked in a low growl, as I spun around to face Malcolm.

With his 5ft 8 the two of us stood at almost eye level as I gave him a glare worthy of Tom Riddle himself.

Maybe I could just use occlumency on him, and make him go away… Those and other more slightly darker thoughts ran through my mind, as we stared each other down.
The little staring contest ultimately ended with Malcolm's expression turning pale- as if he had just seen a thestral, and muttering an angry “This isn't over!” In Juliet's direction, and him and his companions left the library.

"About time." A bemused voice spoke, causing us to turn our heads.
Cordelia crawled out from the table, a wiry smile on her face.
"My leg has gone dead."

"Ah, s-so sorry about that Cordelia! I had no idea that you were down there...” Daniel muttered barely audible, to which Cordelia responded with a small smile, and a slight shake of the head.

"Someone should probably go get Aberforth…preferably me...” I directed the last part at Cordelia, fully aware that her dear brother disliked that she frequented my company.
"...you know, before he decides that getting Julius would be a good idea…”  I said loud enough for Rosaline and Daniel-who had become engrossed in a rather morbid conversation, to hear.

"Bloody hell  Rose, go!" Juliet exasperatedly pushed Rosaline until she stumbled out of the library, throwing a mix of annoyance for Juliet and apologeticness for Daniel.

"You really pricked his ego didn't you?" Juliet murmured in an almost awe tone to Cordelia.
"Men..." Cordelia shook her head wearily and rolled her eyes  before turning to me.
"Thanks by the way."

“That's what friends are for.” I murmured with a slight smile, my thoughts already drifting off towards mother's time-turner, and Salazar Slytherin's painting.

Maybe he can help me figure out what's going on with father's diary- after all, I am his last heir regardless of my last name.
