The hot drops of water poured over me as I sat cowering in shame from last nights recollections, pouring over my trembling body as I wished to join the water draining down the pipe.

Darn it! I have never felt so ashamed in all of my life.

He had to challenge my pride didn't he?
Oh why, why, why...

And to rub salt in the wound he somehow managed to make me act like a lovesick idiot, giggling and clutching his arm!
He somehow managed to get me to interrupt Julius to...

I suddenly recalled the dangerous flash in Julius's eyes, like a threatened lion in a cage, and abruptly picked up what my drugged happy self didn't- the dangerous undertone in Aileen's voice like a knife hiding under a sheet of silk.

By Merlin's beard, he was using me to deliver a threat! The son of a-

Like the water drops that flowed over me, memories ran into my mind, until they were threatening to drown me into a heated pool of embarrassment.

You're cute when your mouth is shut.

A low hiss escaped my lips as I attempted to build a dam to escape the memories, telling myself that the moisture on my face was from the shower, and not from tear ducts.

I will not cry because of that git!
I've cried enough...

I mindlessly pulled my clothes over my head. I've never felt so vulnerable in my life.
To think that a boy of only eleven could invade and control minds with such cold ease was frightening-no downright terrifying.
Where had he learnt such magic?

Who cares, all I need to know is that he's dangerous-especially if I'm right and he is indeed connected to the Dark Lord in some way.

I stepped out of the bathroom, my hair twisted in a damp bun-only to be stopped dead in my tracks by a tall, blonde male sitting cross legged on my bed with an expressionless mask on.

I am screwed, Was all I could think.

"Cordelia, oh come on, don't look at me like I'm going to bite your head off," Julius said in a comforting way.

I forgot that prefects could go into any room...

"I really didn't mean to interrupt you and Cleo, I don't know what I was thinking..."
I pleaded as I sat beside him, tense and sprung like a bowstring ready to launch an arrow.
"I know. The prick used legilimency, and somehow managed to compel you to do those things. Cordelia, what were you thinking!
There is a curfew for a reason!"
"I didn't know he was going to be there! I was fretting about my violin and you know I can't sleep when I'm worried! So I thought, maybe I should get the violin before Peeves smashes it or something!" I protested.

Julius gave a heavy sigh.

"Alright, alright. Just, for Merlin's sake, avoid Aileen, do not give him any reason to interact with you and also every Monday at eight pm sharp, you will be doing occlumency with me for an hour."
"Occlumency? Isn't that for like...the elite?"
I asked, wondering if I heard it right.
"Yeah, but it's just mind work.
No incantations to remember, or theory to understand. Basically...how do I explain this...its clearing your mind.
If there's nothing to see, than there's nothing to gain and grasp for control, correct?" He replied, looking at me expectantly.
"I guess so...Merlin, I have to go for Quidditch!" I exclaimed as my eye caught the time.

As I jumped up, Julius caught my wrist, tugging me down.
"Julius! I'm going to be late!"
I exclaimed in a frantic voice while trying to escape.
"Then, ditch." Julius replied nonchalantly.
"What are you talking about, I can't just skive off Quidditch!"
"Hail never takes roll call. Besides, what's more important, learning to prevent mind attacks or learning how to fly, which no matter how badly you do it, you still can."

"Fine."
I complied grudgingly, and allowed myself to submit to hours that lead into the afternoon, falling prey to the attacks no matter how hard I tried.

****
Around five o'clock in the afternoon,
I came out of the kitchen bearing Shepherd's pie, an apple crumble and some flasks of pumpkin juice. Julius had mercilessly decided to release me from the gruelling 'training' and allowed me to fetch food for us.

I think I got it. That last time it only took me a minute to stop his attacks...

I was suddenly pulled out of my thoughts by a sudden meow piercing the still corridors that came from a white fluffy kitten.

"Oh no" I whispered, staring at the cat with horror.
If Momo was here, that meant his git of a master was here, and I wasn't ready to face him after last night.

I looked around, sensing for any sign of an approaching human being.
After a minute of frantic searching,
I felt a soft, warm weight on my feet.

"Momo?" I started to get nervous- last time we met he was ready to make me into ground Cordelia beef.
I almost dropped my basket when he started to purr and rub his head against my legs.

"Awww" I bent down, carefully placing the basket on the floor.
He immediately started to paw at the bracelet, batting it and occasionally biting at it playfully.
Despite my hand feeling all wet and slimy I laughed and took it off.

"I might as well give it to you, you know" I teased, stroking the cat's fur as he eagerly started to bite at the leather bracelet.
"Why isn't your master as nice as you? Even though you did try to kill me a few times, you're not as bad as him..." I muttered to myself.
I continued stroking Momo's soft fur until I realised that Julius was probably waiting for me, hungry and starting to worry.
"I've got to go now. You can keep the bracelet, I have plenty of those anyways." I stood up, watching fondly for a while as Momo played eagerly with his new toy, occasionally throwing it and chasing after it.

I set on my way, the warm slobber on my hand feeling like the warm sensation of a new friend.
