Chapter 2

I started to walk. With a large map of the city folded in half and another smaller street map of Аmplе Street-where the dormitory is,and the nearby region and in the other hand I held the phone with included GPS. To be honest, I knew only that I was in Barcelona, ​​everything else was unclear,but I continued with the steps. From what I've found on the internet, the home is 8 minutes away from the street which means i had to get to the exact location within few minutes. The street was full with locals, tourists and students. 20 or 30 minutes walk from here, there are many other student dormitories and La Rambla is the initial location to all of them. I believe most of them were strangers, alone or in company. All similar to me, with suitcases, bags, maps, looking for their new beginning. Perhaps they were in a similar situation, but this to me was different, special. And just as I said, after a few minutes,the GPS device told me that I had arrived. I lifted my head up to see where I was and what actually is where I start something new. I've seen it before of course, on the Internet when I was looking for a dormitory and booked accommodation. Typical Hispanic construction. Broad and high building which honestly reminded me of a modern hospital but I liked it. With a flat roof, large, wide windows and common meaning that inside there was a pretty good daylight, that helped me a lot in raising my mood. I'm nervous when the room is full of dark furniture or insufficient daylight. Walls painted with not much dark brown and wide door for entry into the home. The surrounding area is what I noticed and rather caught my attention, because in my free time I like to do 4 things. Listen to music, read books, watch TV and walk in nature. Honestly, walking is the only exercise that I can do. Not because of an illness or injury, simply I am that only person on Earth who does not want sport. Now, when I'm already in Spain, I will take every chance to see much of it. The home is located in the Gothic quarter, Ciutat Vell district, is across Basilica Merce. The location is ideal for students and for all those who want to experience life in the heart of Barcelona,just like me. I pulled my bag besides me and entered the dormitory. Let's see what will i find here.
