Day 2: Annie

'Mom guess what!' I yell happily.

'I'm nominated for a musical.ly competition in Australia!'

My parents turn around and eye each other.

I don't think that's a good sign- at all

'Australia!' My dad laughs.
'You can't even fly on your own!'

My mom joins in.
'Besides, we'd have to bring the entire family!'

I slump in sadness. The competition couldn't go on without me!
All my supporters would be there!

'Please can I go!' I beg walking towards them.

Our kitchen is quite big, so it takes a few steps.

My parents do their 'what will we do look' and sigh.

I don't like that.

We may be the most big YouTubers of all time, but in real life, they're  the most overprotective people I know.

I can't even get my own private YouTube!

'Who organized this?' My dad asked, sitting down on a nearby chair.

I swallow. If I told them, they'd say no.

Maybe I can twist the truth...

'Musical.ly itself' I lie.

My mom nods, getting interested.

'They want us to leave on the 15th, today is the 10th' I explained. 'There's going to be more musers going, I'll have to compete against all of them.'

Then, goes the thing I would never say.

'I need to win mom! It's all I've ever wanted!'

Pause.

Silence.

Then, they speak.

'Well, I guess your going then Annie!' My mom says finally.

'But-' my dad interrupts.

'No- it is final' mom says, smiling at me. 'Annie had to win, and she will'

She walks over to me. And leads me up the stairs. 'We need to get packing.'

And there it goes... Another stressful competition.

Ok, the reason I didn't say hack.ly is...

My dad used to work for them... I think.

I was only 8 when I snuck into his office at night. I saw papers on his desk, ones with the logo H.Q on the top.

Ever since, I've been afraid of them...

I know what hack.ly have done, to my family and it isn't good. At all.

'Best of luck Annie' I whisper to myself.
