"Hey four," called a melodic voice. I stopped doing pull-ups and turned to face tris.

Over the last year a lot happened. Me and Eric became rivals. I came out top of my initiate class. I became the initiate instructor while Eric became a dauntless leader. Of course.

Since I was the top of my class I was chosen first. But of course I rejected the offer. No matter how persistent they were.

There's no way I could face Marcus. I know now I'm stronger than before, but the fear is still there.

Tris and I became the best of friends. But of course it never went any farther. She's too young and too oblivious to my feelings.

So to keep my dignity and our friendship, I haven't told her about my love for her. No matter how much I want to.

"Hey tris," I say cheerily. I couldn't be happier when I'm around tris.

"Easy on the pull-ups there hulk. Keep working out like that and you may turn green," she teases.

I simile warmly at her playfulness. She's pure heaven to me. And soon she'll be mine to love and cherish.

Tris jumps into my arms, taking me by surprise. I step-back to balance my self with her in my arms. Peace and warmth flood through me at her touch.

I love her surprise hugs. I love her hugs. I just love her. Every part of her. Down to her last eyelash.

"So hulk wanna race?" Tris asks me suddenly. I was about to respond when she took off running out of the gym.

"So you don't wanna play fair?" I call to her chuckling, before taking off after her.

I run out the door and down the corridor. I'm slowly gaining on her. For a small girl she sure can run!

I grasp her waist and spin her around. I smile as she giggles happily. In that moment I realized, I couldn't wait any longer. I was going to ask her out.

But two things stood in my way. They were tris's brothers, Uriah and Zeke. They've always been protective of tris. Both an amen and curse.

It was going to be hard to get they're permission. But I'm willing to fight for her. I always will.
