"That- that's impossible it's been at least two months since we..."
I start to drift off, I can't seem to finish my sentence.
"And vampires can't procreate"
Elijah says looking for any hope that I'm not carrying his child. Klaus is still standing up, I can't read his face. It's full of mixed emotions. I don't know if he's angry at me or disappointed.
"I know that but for some reason the ancestors have bent the rules to their will"
Davina says. I can only imagine how uncomfortable this is for her.
"Thank you Davina. Please let us know as soon as you find out what the witches want"
I say standing up and showing her to the door. She nods her head and leaves.
"Well you two can't possible believe her can you!!?"
Klaus says turning around and looking at Elijah and I.
"Niklaus listen."
Elijah says and I know what he means. I focus on my hearing and I can hear the baby's heartbeat.
"NO!"
He yells refusing.
"LISTEN!!"
Elijah yells and he obeys. He looks up at me with tears of betrayal in his eyes.
"Klaus I'm sorry"
I say and he shakes his head.
"This is the last time either of you betray me!!!"
He yells then leaves. Leaving Elijah and I alone. I can't even look at him. It's hard to tell what's going through his head right now. We stand there in complete and utter silence. After a moment I realize that he's not going to say anything so I speak up.
"I- I need you to say something."
I say looking up at him. He's still looking down.
"Elijah."
I say trying to get his attention.
"He's not going to forgive me for this."
He says referring to klaus and I can't exactly argue with him on the matter.
"We will get through this together."
I say putting my hand on his cheek. Making him look at me. I see tears in his eyes and I feel horrible.
"Okay?"
I ask and he nods his head yes. He brings me in for a hug and we stay like that for quite awhile.
"I promise that i will be here for you and the baby. No matter what. Even if that means losing my brother in the process."
