Chpt.12

Elena's POV

I crumble up the blood stained note and shove it into my jacket pocket. How could he do that to me? To a innocent baby? I wipe the tears from my cheek and take a deep breath.

"I see you chose wisely"

Klaus says grinning as I walk out of the woods I shove past him and get into his car.

"Where are we going?"

"To visit a old friend"

"You said that you would give me your blood if I came with you"

I say sternly

"Oh yes, you'll get that whenever we get there. I can't have you running off or doing anything stupid"

"Klaus I'll die"

"You'll be fine until tomorrow, now get comfortable we've got a long drive"

He says smirking and I roll my eyes.

I open my eyes and see moonlight streaming in through the car window. I must have dozed off after awhile.

"Ugh how long have I been asleep?"

I ask rubbing my eyes

"Oh about five hours"

What!?

"Five hours!? Where are we?"

I ask looking around. He puts the car in park and hands me a bag.

"And what is this?"

"We are at a motel and that is your things"

He says gesturing towards the plastic bag in my hand.

"I snuck into the house last night while everyone was asleep and got your stuff. I had a feeling you'd come with me"

He says and I roll my eyes

"Why are we at a motel?"

"Because I've been driving all day and I'm tired and hungry"

He says unlocking the door to the room. We go inside and I look around. This is probably the creepiest place I've ever been in. I throw my stuff down on one of the beds and take my shirt off, I have a tank top on underneath of course.

"Uhm what are you doing?"

Klaus asks and I turn around.

"I'm taking a shower. I've been in a car all day and I feel gross"

"You do know there is a bathroom less than five feet away from you"

He says stating the obvious and I roll my eyes

"It's nothing you haven't seen before and it's not like you care anyways. Remember?"

I say and he says nothing. He just turns around and hangs his coat on the door.

"Klaus"

"What?"

"Do you really not care anymore?"

I ask and for a split second I could have sworn I heard him hesitate.

"No... I don't"
